Fights broke ou t at a Bank of America ATM in Texas after the machine started spitting out $100 BILLS!!

A long line of cars were seen outside the ATM as people scrambled and fought and trampled each other while getting their turn to grab the wad of cash.

The machine was giving customers $100 bills instead of $10 bills

A customer went to the machine near FM 1960 around 11pm to withdraw cash but instead of getting a 10, the machine spat out 100.

The man then posted it on social media and it caused a flood of people rushing over there to get free extra cash.

According to KPRC2, a few people got into fisticuffs while waiting as police were eventually called and warmed the ATM and SHUT IT DOWN as they guarded it until the glitch worked out

They protected the machine with their lives after the incident and called BOA who said a vendor accidentally loaded 100 dollar bills rather than 10 and said that the customers who got the bills can KEEP IT..

They won't say how much was wrongly dispensed however...

Oh man talk about a major fuck up, I am blown away the guy posted it on social media when he could have emptied the machine out. I am also surpised the bank is letting people keep the money, an Ex of mine back when we were dating had an error and the bank gave her a few hundred extra in her account they eventually fixed the error though and took the money back.

Well... I'm too lazy to google and confirm right now, but wouldn't they have to give the money back anyway? Like those stories where people get more money than they actually withdrew, and then the bank goes after them?

That would be an error that is correctable as the money is still in the account and the error can be proven. In this case unless every single dollar was removed before the wrong denomination of bills was added there is probably no way to prove exactly when customers started getting $100s instead of $10s, or at least it might be difficult. Its quite likely that the guy who posted it to social media wasnt the first and the first person to encounter the error might not have been the person who first used the machine after it had been reloaded.
