I gotta agree to be honest.

I don't get why porn and prostitution is not considered a "real" job.

You're trading services for money, same as the majority of jobs.

If your religion deems it offensive then that's on you, not the job

I always wondered about this but never cared to think about it much.

Wouldn't streaming for a living/being a cam girl/etc fall under the same category as a home business where you would be required by law to declare earnings? Seems fair enough to me. They've been getting a free ride for a while.

Obviously with street prostitution there is no way to really track that, but there's a hell of an electronic "paper trail" when the same stuff is done online.

Obviously big name ones like Rooster Teeth, Game Grumps, etc.. do. But I doubt many small time independent ones do, especially those with no YouTube presence that just hop on Twitch once in a while to collect donations or whatever. Who is keeping track of all of them?

Nothing wrong with sex work at all, but some of those people on those sites are quite disgusting as well. They lead pathetic men on in private conversations to bait more money out of them. Nothing wrong with showing the goods to get some money, but it becomes toxic once they add a personal touch to it. Then you have the crazy guys who think they like own the woman just because they've given thousands of dollars. It's not a healthy community at all.

I have mixed feelings about it. One the one hand, the ThotPatrol does need to tip the scales back; the state of the modern western woman is in shambles, and it's hard to feel bad for prostitutes too lazy to even has sex with people.

On the other hand, anyone who can get out of taxes gets a thumbs up from me.

That's not really an accurate comparison.

It'd be more like bashing casinos for exploiting gambling addicts. Which I suppose could be a fair point, but gambling is also the entire point of their business.

Whether you want to respect it or not, well, that's a different argument.

A legalization and regulation of sex work will lead to the taxation of it.

Im not from the US. In my country prostitution is 100% legalized, so Im not sure my opinion matters in this specific topic. But yea, hookers from country aint offering receipts, though some of them accept payement by credit card, which should make it easier for the IRS to track them.

What, so retail worker don't do real work? Garbage men, janitors, shovelers, lawnmowers, the lunch lady?

If you're getting money for something, that means it is valued in some way, by someone. That's all it is, exchanging effort for money. What you have is an arbitrary concept of what you respect, which is different from the definition of work, or a job, that you would find in any dictionary or legal documentation.
