While I'm waiting for it to arrive, what else is worth my time on the Switch?

Breath of the Wild is a must-borrow that may become a purchase. Same for Mario Aces Tennis.

I may repurchase the Binding of Isaac to have it be portable.

What else deserves keeping an eye out for a new Switch owner?

A friend said Star Allies is the best Kirby game in the series. Kirby is consistently decent-to-good, but never great. I did like Triple Deluxe though. How's this compare?

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 sounds good, but also I still haven't played Xenoblade -- is that available on Switch?

Hyrule Warriors demo didn't sell me on it.

I like to watch Dead Cells, but not as much for playing it.

I'm tired of trying to be a Donkey Kong Country fan. They're fun to goof around with in early stages, but I don't like their style when it comes to late-game difficulty and Returns 3D reconfirmed this to me. I hear Tropical Freeze is great, but I don't think it's for me.

Didn't like Steamworld Dig on 3DS, dunno how those other ones compare.

I tried to get the Switch bundle that had both the $50 gift card and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but they were out of MK8D-bundles when I ordered so I just got the gift card.

I wouldn't call it best in the series but I think it's about on par with Triple Deluxe, with the added bonus that you can play with friends

You can play Xenoblade 2 without Xenoblade 1. I did. (Also, xb2 is a much better game than 1)

Steamworld Dig 2 is a metroidvania compared to Dig 1's less focused progress.Heist is a strategy game. Both are considered to be leaps and bounds better than Dig 1.

A bit smaller in scope compared to Triple Deluxe and slower to boot. It's a fine Kirby game, but outclassed by the 3DS games and won't change your mind about the series in general.

It's not a radical change, but it's a snappier game. You progress through the world and acquire abilities at a much faster pace. The traversal abilities you get are an absolute joy to use and really tough to master for late game challenges. The music is used to great effect, too - there's this wonderful laid back track playing in the town so whenever you come back, which is often, it's a nice excuse to put up your feet, sell your gear, and talk to the townsfolk.

I bought it and returned it over a weekend.

The gameplay is super great, but its like tech demo

no modes, no reason to replay

Sushi Striker if you have a capacitive stylus (or get it on 3DS). From a trailer it's super easy to write off, but play the demo and you'll see there's really a lot to it.

Mario Tennis Aces is depressing. The core tennis is fantastic, Ive put a lot of hours into it, but everything around it is underdeveloped. They couldve done great things but instead settled for much less.

Unrelated, but what's the problem with Nicalis? Not saying they're great or anything, I just haven't heard much of anything either way about them.

if you like traditional JRPGs then octopath is a must.

if you like online multiplayer games, definitely check out splatoon 2
