Preferable Cid rankings:

Dr. > Orlandu > Highwind > Bald > Fabool > Randell > Kramer > Cid (RK) > Pollendina > Del Norte Marquez > Previa > Cid (II)

I'm unfamiliar with any Cid not listed, but I'm sure most woud rank above that bottom portion of the list. Early Cids had the tendency to all be the same character basically; airship guy that dies. It's a shame Orlandu does like shit here, but I can't support him given how weak my other stuff tends to be.

Even if you didn't, it doesn't make sense because I never wanted him to win anyway. Hard for me to blow it on a character I don't support. And even if that had been the same year, it would have only made Cid stronger since getting a rise out of me is life for some of you.

So what's the etiquette around creating save mys? Would "Save my favorite FF ladies" be considered encroachment on smfffc turf?

Between this and save my anime, this is the first time I haven't been actively participating in something since, like, June. Which is for the best for now since I'm super busy through December, but thinking about trying to run something in the new year, whether the female-focused contest or something new and completely different...

Although I did clear with Leon before running SMFFFC2, etiquette wasn't any concern with Inviso's random thing that preceded SMFFFC Mainline.

Participation of offshoots are a fraction of the mainline so "burn-out" isn't a real concern as everybody knows what the real event is if anyone's gonna burn out they'll just start leaving the spin-offs (some even in advance, accounting for the incoming mainline). Off-shoots will only burn out other off-shoots, which nobody owns since they're akin to fanfiction... so if you really wanna do it just go for it, just don't expect a huge turnout (don't go crazy with save rules, and don't use a giant pool that will take forever to clear, unless you're putting rounds up 24/7 like the botcontest, or doing multiple eliminations per day like kateee often does).

Despite this being the first time smfffc offshoots have even been a thing, let alone the fact that there were 8 of them before XX started, I'd say this year's mainline was notably more active than last year's... and lefty didn't even wait much if any cooldown period off SLFFFC and SVFFFC!
