Dailymail caught up with the now infamous Photographer at the centre of the NAZI SALUTE Prom Picture controversy says he is now heavily considering CHANGING his IDENTITY and going up to his Cabin to go DEER HUNTING and DISAPPEAR from the world to avoid anymore hate he's getting!!

66 y/o Peter Gust, who is ironically GERMAN insisted that the all-white group of Wisconsin boys were merely waving "goodbye" to their parents and not making a political statement

He says "i am very frustrated and find it reprehensible that people all over the world can snap to a judgement without knowing any facts and go apes*** and it is coming from all over the world. Deer season is coming up and i have a cabin up north and when i come back from there my phone will be dead, my website will have a new name and i will get new business cards. I want to disappear and make myself a new life. My wife is an absolute wreck. She asked this morning if we should hire a lawyer and change our identities because fo a picture of kids saying goodbye to their parents. People have contacted my son in South Carolina, my daughter in North Dakota, my son's in laws in Washington DC asking what is wrong with me. For now i am going to hunt my problems away."

He took the shot of some 60 white boys before junior prom at Baraboo High School and posted it on his website but it was only over the weekend that it gained notoriety.

He said he didn't see a Nazi salute and told the boys to "wave" goodbye to their parents as he lives just 5 minutes from the town of 12,00 people.

Peter claims 200 kids were all dressed up and every sister, brother, parent, aunt, uncle were jostling trying to take a picture with them so he waited for them to clear out and then asked them to wave goodbye to their parents for the night.

Peter says he did one for the girls who DIDN'T wave but then said at the last minute made the boys do a "wave"

One of the boys, Jordan Blue said he didn't raise his arm as he was uncomfortable with what was happening when the photographer made them do those hands signs.

A group of residents went to the courthouse steps with "Love Not Hate" to show the town is not a hotbed of racism.

Baraboo School Administrator Lori Mueller tweeted that this is not a reflective to their educational values and beliefs in the School District

Gust says he can't believe the school officials didn't see the picture until now since it's been on his site for 6 months and he can't speak for the kid who didn't take part in it and he has nothing to say to him.

Peter says "You have liberals using it, saying this is evidence of white power in middle America. On the other side they are saying "good job boys, you did something worthwhile, you finally told the rest of the world where they could go. Either way is dead wrong and i'm very frustrated".

Peter says he's proud to be GERMAN but he's not proud of the swastikas and the like and now he just wants to take pictures of motorcycles because other than falling off of them or running into deer, they won't cause him "problems"

Oh, I remember. There was a whole group of Germans who did this same tactic about 70 years ago, trying to change their identity and be forgotten. Has he considered moving to South America, too?

#1 that isn't the ok sign.

That is the sign you make where if you get someone to look at it you punch and insult them.

Apparently it also is a white power sign, which is something I've only been aware of for a few months and it makes me sad. My first inclination is not to see it as a white power sign and in this case I want to believe it is a kid playing that game.

I really wonder if maybe some of the kids in this picture were neo-nazis and others who weren't got dragged into this fiasco. I just remain so unsure about this picture.
