I vote you run a smfffc xx-2 using the bots/24 hour rounds after the main contest is done!! Would be a lot of fun imo (and get me to push Cissnei again like I did KOS-MOS this time)

Wasn't too bad until about Save #119 where Feenie started getting 3-save combos separated by James singles, until James finally disappeared leading to Feenie's ultimate 12-streak combo this morning... and then ending off with another 7-streak at the end!

i did start feeling burned out near the end but i expected that in a contest with this many characters. the contest did legitimately help me a little in distracting me from real life shit in the beginning so i'm very glad it happened.

I'm thinking yes since it's just worked so well for these: no trade walls, interesting strategy, and covers the fact 24/7 rounds inherently can't trust pacts, so it necessitates its own thing.

My completely original contests for sure I'd be keeping forever! For SMFFFC-2 I don't really know how much people if at all care about being more smfffc-faithful, or if there'd be issues with such a rules tweak after 6 established smfffc-2 contests

I feel conflicted about this, because yeah the trade walls at the end sucked, but I also liked that it basically ensured the overnight rounds would go much slower so I didn't miss as much...

the wait times for dailys will destroy me. personally vastly prefer 24/7 because it gives me something to do whenever i check in on the board at any time and in a way forces me to take it more casually since you know there's a limit to what you can do. also because no other contest on the board can be run 24/7 so that's its own niche.

Disagree! 7 through 19 are ancient history, 20 is fresh, do 20 now and then revisit the old ones. Break all the rules!!

And I agree with kateee, the 24 hour rounds and no trade walls is great and has carved out a nice niche for this contest, even if the night rounds produce terrible results...

I just think Save My Smash Bros is the type of contest more people might be more invested in, and nothing kills investment like losing your main in the middle of the night.

Yeah I would keep the multisaves being allowed, even if you get dumb results like James "three fans" Sunderland getting to the end. Doing politics with trading crap doesn't really fit the idea of a bot contest anyway, which mostly just have appeal in being efficient.

Well, this was fun, furst time joining this kind of game (and I feel like Neptune and Majima only lasted this long because I found this, too bad I didn't see this before Kiryu was eliminated)

Usually I figure if my main dies overnight, he didn't have the support he needed to get far anyway. Unless it's like top 10. Then it sucks but oh well it happens.

I guess what I mean is 24/7 is great as a more casual format, but I think a contest like Save My Smash Bros should be taken more "seriously". Especially when it's to mark the release of the new game. If that makes sense. I know it feels weird using words like serious or important to talk about Save My contests, but I dunno how else to describe it.

24/7 also gives the international popn some influence they normally wouldn't have, even if the board is primarily based in North America.

The alternative is the bot only runs 3 rounds a day and the first round is posted at say, noon EST, each round is around 3-4 hours early on so it's done by midnight on the east coast while still covering the west (9 to 9). Shifting to 2 rounds/day once it starts hitting the later 5-6 hour rounds. That would be the best way to get rid of (north american) overnights, I guess.

and i'm not sure if there are people who pretty much only save during late night because of other priorities but assuming regular start times for a daily format, 24/7 at least feels more inclusive.
