I get you're trying to sell the fact that you're a big nerd, but I'd get that Switch controller out of your first picture. It's a nice picture aside from that, though.

I'd drop #2 too, it looks too candid and is the only one that doesn't convey you as a fun/happy person.

How about taking a picture that makes you look slightly douchey and slightly crazy? I'm really not joking at all, you want to come off as someone who's fun and stands out a little bit. Any doucheyness can be played off as ironic - like, the juxtaposition of looking slightly douchey but in a nerd/gaming environment can make you look fun. Like someone who would be a blast to play D&D with.

And when you take a new picture, have your eyes visible and make direct eye contact with the camera. It'll make you appear more confident. It's fucking incredible how much people read eyes without even knowing it.

Don't worry about being perfect or anything, most guys don't ask a forum about what they should to do get an idea on how to look in their pictures, and you just don't want to be the low-hanging fruit.

"cheesy funny guy bio" is like, those guys who have bad pickup lines and stuff, right? Yeah, absolutely don't do that. The only reason those might ever work is because they'd have you stand out if everyone else isn't doing that, but it's Tinder, so everyone else is.

Though, just straight up talking about yourself, who you are, what you do, is boring. Hook onto one subject you like that makes you seem interesting. Keeping it simple and accessible is key, since Tinder by nature makes it super, super easy to dismiss someone immediately. Like if you're into kooky girls, I'd open up with something like "Octopuses are totally aliens. Just look at 'em. Like, you look at one and try to tell me that they're not aliens, even their DNA is nothing like most Earth life." That won't get you most girls, but for the ones that it'd work with, they're a hell of a lot more likely to be interested in you than anyone else. Going for a more specific, narrow type is a lot better of an idea than something generic, as it naturally weeds out girls who might talk to you but drop off before you get anywhere.

I just set up my Tinder (again) and my roommate doesn't think bios should include "looking for someone", and I think she's right - it's cliche and states the obvious, looking for someone is the whole reason you're there.

Of the pics you have, I don't like pic 2 because you look somber/unfun, pic 3 because the lighting is bad, and pic 7 because what is going on in that picture, is it even you? The caption makes the situation sound pathetic and that's not the vibe you wanna give, "lol this guy doesn't feel like anyone gives him attention".

Telling someone to type in a cryptic URL is lame, but linking to a high-res image calling out half the Tinder population base is doing you no favors and makes you look like a bitter nerd. Very uncool, like who would want to talk to someone like that?

My smile isn't that great with my eyes open. I look like a creep lol

Tinder girls are the worst girls. I would advise trying to meet a girl in real life instead of using an online dating app. Its way easier talking to a girl face to face instead of hoping she throws you a bone out of the 20+ guys talking to her on tinder.

I made a Tinder once with two shitty pictures and I was actually getting likes. I probably had like slightly over 10 after about two days.

However if I matched they would not answer my messages, or would unmatch me after a while.

I probably got close to 20 matches by the time I deleted it after realizing it was a waste of time, I think I only got 1 message reply out of all those. Probably a couple were bots but most seemed real. They wouldn't immediately return my message like a bot probably would. Even after a day or so nothing.

Good pics. Smile. NO mirror selfies. Have body shots, pics with you and friends, pics doing activities, pics with a dog.

Also, online dating works best as a supplement to your dating life. It shouldn't be the primary method for meeting girls. The success rate is low for most people, and if you put all your dating effort into that, the disappointment will be even worse.

Delete pics 3, 6, and 7. Change 4 or 5 to your main. Consider dropping 2 and cropping 1. Maximum pics for guys should be 4 or 5 (if you have pets).

Cut the link from your bio. Change your bio to something funny and remove country music - that's a huge turnoff to most girls. Short n' sweet - make it something they can remember easily so they don't have to refer back to your bio.

Change the anthem to something 1) topical or 2) dirty/innuendo. Having a Pink song will make girls wonder if you forgot to choose "searching for men" when setting up your profile
