It's alright so far. It seems to have a bit more depth than a Telltale game, and while some of the writing (i.e. the journal entries) has been a bit cringy, I'm liking the game well enough. I hope I can befriend more of the student body as the game goes along, I'm trying to get into Victoria's good books while unravelling her shitty influence.

I like some of the characters so far like Drone Girl and the fat chick who gets hit in the head with a football. Warren seems like that quirky guy with a hopeless crush on Max, so I'm not looking forward to that. Also not sure about Chloe so far, that dancing scene was awful, but I hope Officer Dickhead gets what's coming to him.

I know a fair few plot beats already, but I'm liking the game so far. I can tell that these optional photos are going to be a bitch to get, though. Current plan is to play through once blind, then through again with a guide.

It's great. I legit got surprised by one of the plot-twists at the "end" I suppose, but I wasn't paying attention to one key giveaway detail about said plot-twist.

I really liked the game as a whole.

In all seriousness this is probably my 2nd favorite "choose your own" adventure game (the 1st being The Wolf Among Us).

Not spoiling about anything about LIS, but the start of Chapter 4 is so well done emotionally. It has a great, emotional scene that would be much weaker if it wasn't a video game. Its nice to see story based games do things that other mediums really can't replicate.

The end of Episode 4 hit me harder than any other game I've ever played.

As to the dialogue, remember: it was written by French people in their 30s-40s who were trying to sound like teenagers from 2010. There's going to be a little...oddity. ^_^

Also, Hannah Telle (Max's voice actress) is cute AF in real life.

Fun fact: Cissy Jones (Joyce) played Katja in The Walking Dead Season 1.

As cringey as the dialogue is, my cousins in Seattle do in fact use "hella" when they talk that I never even noticed until I played this game lol.

It's a great game though, there might be things that will disappoint, but the journey is well worth the experience. Episode 5 might get annoying because that's when it will start introducing new mechanics that probably last too long for its own good.

Before the Storm was ok. It had some really good parts in it, but overall I didn't like it as much as the original because of its plot. It just didn't have the same mystery or stakes in it.

Haven't played LiS2 yet but hope it is good. Waiting for a few more episodes to come out.

I'm not playing LiS 2 until its all released. These types of games are much more enjoyable that way instead of playing the waiting game for weeks to months for the next episode.

Its mostly the way gen z'ers talk. Most of us playing it are millenials so we dont talk like that. Though when i start paying attention more to how my niece and nephews talk, the more i recognize that the way they talk is very similiar to internet language. Its shit that i would cringe to, but in a way the way we talked back then probably had our parents cringing as well. So in a way its accurate, but this is primarily anecdotal.

This is really spoilery, but...
Rachel Amber is the one Chloe picked it up from. Chloe said she thought the word was lame, then Rachel smugly explained it was the way hip LA teenagers talked. Chloe now uses the word liberally.

Life is Strange blows anything that Telltale ever made out of the water. The soundtrack is incredible, too. It has a slow start but Episode 2 and on are amazing.
