This person should, by most accounts be able to live a relatively typical life despite some social behavioral issues. Being high functioning autistic doesn't excuse laziness or unwillingness. Yes, those two things might be harder to overcome for this person. The relationship thing is just lack of social skills and interactions. When fixing the problem of being lazy and unwilling to get into the work force this person will likely find a new social interest. Also, don't confuse being introverted and being bad at going out. Could you ignore those negative aspects and look at the good things about them instead? B.) Find new friends, maybe not as replacements for your old support, but maybe so. No one friend is going to be perfect. C.) Have an open and polite discussion about how their actions make you feel. D.) Spend less time with those people until you know what you want or that you'll be comfortable enough to deal with those aspects that you may not like.
