A new Easter egg in the latest video game from Rockstar Games allows players to kill members of the white supremacist organization Ku Klux Klan, Inverse reports. Typically, attacking or killing a character without reason in Red Dead Redemption II, which was released on Oct. 26, results in losing points on your "honor meter." But that's not the case if you attack members of the KKK, who can be found burning crosses in the Western-themed action-adventure game.

and it's not even the kkk
the kkk wasn't restarted till 1914ish

whats with this trend of people calling every part of a game that isn't thrown in your face an easter egg? the term has lost all meaning. especially bad with RDR 2, every little side event meant to add life to the world is being reported as an easter egg by dumb articles and youtubers.

I haven't encountered the KKK, but I beat up (not killed tho) that guy handing out racial purity pamphlets in Saint Denis, right in front of a lawman, and he didn't care (or possibly didn't notice, but I doubt it).

Why are people so binary, like it was either on or off, 1 or 0. Have to explain the concept of gray or nuance too often around here.

I will give two examples.
First one involves two members trying to put up a big wooden cross, they slip and both gets crushed by the cross.
The second is about a bunch of members being ready to burn a cross. One guy goes forward and puts it on fire, and suddenly his robe starts burning. The others tries to help him, but their robes starts burning as well, and they all burn up.

I'm gonna keep putting barely-relevant Seanbaby quotes into topics about RDR2.

After some experimenting, I found that anything you did with a rope and a woman was almost always OK. If you want to hogtie all the females in the center of town and pour bear bait on them, you'll probably unlock an achievement to the indifference of the townspeople. I tried tying a nun to my horse and dragging her past the sheriff to see if he'd do anything other than politely greet me. Not only did it seem OK, it actually seemed to cheer him up.

I'm sure there would be far more outrage from people if there weren't Klansmen in the game that you could extrajudicially kill. Remember when people complained Far Cry 5 wasn't political enough when it finally came out? Those people.
