He appeared on Facebook Live that lasted 30 MINUTES that showed himself throwing literature into a burning barrel in protest on what marked the first day of the Orange City's gay pride festival. He checked out ALL of the LGBTQ books and burned them so he can "save the kids" from liberals "messing with kids minds" on forcing people to accept a "damning" lifestyle that he thinks MOST people don't agree with but are too afraid to speak up because of the media's influence. The city got its first gay pride celebration on October 2017. David Levithan's Two Boys Kissing, Suzanne and Max Lang's Families, Families, Families and Gayle E. Pitman's This Day in June were among the books burned. The Orange City Library said Paul will still be expected to pay up for the lost books, but they also said that "he will not do so" and staff are unsure if they will BRING THEM BACK at the library as they may PHASE THEM OUT following this stunt.. Amanda Vazquez said "We do have policies in place for books that are not returned to the library once they are due. That is part of our circulation policy. We're exploring our options at this point" Stolen or lost books are covered by a 10 cents for each day that it isn't officially renewed. After a 3 week checkout period and when the fine exceeds $2.01, privileges are revoked. The library then sends an itemized bill stating costs and then a certified letter after 60 days. They can also be about many different things. Some educational, others just for fun and some are even both. This man claims kids are being brainwashed into accepting different walks of life yet is forcing his beliefs onto others. Seems hypocritical to me.
