Well, it can't be Amarant. Amarant is anti-FFIX by design. Like even in the game. There's some sort of plot going on and Amarant is too cool for it. That's actually his character.

Change that to literally any other character in the game though, even the lesser liked ones, and I think you'd see it, though.

Steiner organically gaining support once his compatriots dropped is probably a bit underrated in that run. Mostly because the dudes who organized that run write the history books on it.

I mean it's a bit of confirmation bias because you're going to remember the ones you bought off and not remember all the other ones who joined, but you didn't literally buy off every Steiner saver.

But for someone like me who looks at the FFIX fanbase on this board and their saving habits, and who is grimacing as killing one makes all the rest stronger, I've got confirmation bias on the other end.

I'm not saying FFIX did most of the work for you, just that if you'd done it with a low carder from another game I think you would've failed.

It's like the SMFFFC version of "whoo Pokemon was rallied to another win those plucky underdogs"

While mnk and fbike and nanis dropped a few saves here and there (#thenorthremembers) given he only needed 4 saves before that it was easy to drop him a save or two and have MWC, who is indeed very sorry for murdering Vincent last year and promised to help me out for that + Cloud's chip, to do the rest.

I'd say I or Gravy had to do with 90% of steiner's saves.
