it was the first one so they put in more effort to make sure it didnt fail.

more fighting. the fighting is generally better. (hallway scene season 1)

better villain (and i don't even like kingpin)

doesn't spend as much time on lots of other people. luke cage wasted so much time on characters i didn't give a shit about.

Daredevil is an attempt at a branded super hero TV show and succeeded at that.

Of the rest, 2 are mostly political/social statements, 1 wasn't planned and kind of happened out of the blues because the character was popular, and one got confused as to which character is supposed to be the main/cool one.

Better writing plain and simple

I really felt like this was true with Iron Fist.

- Danny Rand questioning why pharmaceuticals aren't sold at cost
- The female empowerment arc with Hogarth

Etc., that's all I can think of at the moment but remember catching several more at the time of watching it.

Are we talking about just the Marvel shows on Netflix or all Netflix originals. Because while I think Daredevil is quite good I would not call it the best show ever made for Netflix.

If I felt like it I'm sure I could actually make a convincing case that Mattfleck is better than Batfleck.

But if we're being honest it would mostly be based on the fact that prior to either there were approximately zero Daredevil live action performances to compare vs nearly half a dozen Batman performances to draw upon.

It's also the supporting cast, Foggy especially is just freaking awesome. Karen is still great, i'd say my second favorite by a landslide, and both of them are on one show.

That alone would make the show better honestly but then you have the real winner which is Fisk.....he is my favorite villian. JJ's first season villian was also good, but Kingpin still wins by a large margin.

Meanwhile of all the main protagonists, DD is by far the most interesting with the best fight scenes as well.....so it's a full house of EVERYTHING being better (along with better writing as well).

I'll watch another JJ though, but I would never even start another LC and I didn't finish the last season of IF (barely started it before giving up).

I have seen DD season 1 3 times, season 2 twice and season 1 once (but will watch again eventually probably after doing 1 and 2 marathon).

I won't watch either JJ season 1 or 2 again.....even though I barely remember 2. I had to ask who the bad guy was in season 2 because I totally forgot lol. I still like her though (jessica) and I like her patty sidekick the 3rd best of all of them probably.

Daredevil though, still delivers and I would be very sad if they canceled it. I could live with them canceling JJ honestly, though I would be a bit sad I guess. Don't care about Defenders other then it having more DD in it pretty much.

For netflix originals I have DD and Stranger things as my two favorites by a mile, then waaay after them is JJ.

I'd put Punisher in second place below daredevil. One thing that might have hurt the other shows is that they were building up to the defenders, with Iron Fist mostly bridging everything together, and the others kind of shot out just to introduce the characters.
