I have bested Girls und Panzer. Was pretty dece. Wish more of the cast had more going on though. My one complaint. A lot of the teams didn't really talk or do much. Especially my favorite team, Team Extra, and all they really did was compare the situation to other battles and stuffs.

My under standing is there is an OVA and a film? I can only hope those are dubbed as well, and then I will best them tomorrow.

Best part of the series though, all the MOTHERFUCKING TANK DRIFTING!

The OVA is just the Anzio battle that was originally skipped over in the anime's TV broadcast. It's nothing major and is entirely skippable. There's also some bonus blu-ray specials that are just extra cuteness and fanservice outside of the tanks. Again, entirely skippable, but can be fun if you decide to watch them. The movie, however? You MUST watch it. It's absolutely amazing, easily the best thing to come out of the franchise so far. All three of these have been dubbed, so don't worry about that.

Precure is a BUNCH of different unconnected series. Only three of them have dubs. The very first Precure series and then Netflix has two of them dubbed, Smile Precure and Doki Doki Precure, renamed into Glitter Force, and Glitter Force Doki Doki. Smile Precure was the first one I watched, and I watched the English Dub, Glitter Force, and it was FANTASTIC. Doki Doki was alright too, but not as good. The current Series, Hugtto Precure, is pretty good so far too.

@Jeff_AKA_Snoopy Strap yourself in, this is gonna be a long one.

There are currently 13 different series in the Pretty Cure franchise out there, with a 14th premiering next year... but do NOT get intimidated by the sheer number of different ones out there. Besides two of them having second seasons, and excluding the crossover episodes in Hugtto Precure (which are only a small part of the series) each Precure series is a standalone series that can be watched in isolation, without any prior knowledge of the franchise. There's NO obligation to watch all of them, or even close to all of them. You could watch only the most popular ones, or only the ones whose art styles or character designs you like the most, or whatever.

As for which Precure to start with... the three that are generally considered the very best (and the three that are most often recommended as entry points for newcomers) are Heartcatch, Smile, and Go Princess. These are the ones recognized as having the best cast of characters and the best fight scenes in the franchise. One idea to get into the franchise is to pick one of these three (based on whatever criteria you decide) and dive into it. I personally started with Heartcatch, while Pop (as he mentioned) started with Smile.

The other options some might recommend are starting with the original Futari Wa Pretty Cure series (the beginning of the franchise, way back in 2004) or jumping into the currently airing series, Hugtto Precure. Futari Wa is considered a very good Precure series, but not one of the best, while Hugtto has been beloved so far and may be on its way to joining that very top tier I mentioned above.

As I mentioned in my past posts, Hugtto became the first Precure series to feature canon appearances of characters from past Precure series. On one hand, these crossover episodes may leave you overwhelmed by the sheer number of characters that show up whose series you haven't seen. On the other hand, it's only 4 episodes out of 48 that have featured them, and some people may see these cameos and want to go back and watch the older series featuring these girls even more! Another totally okay option to pick your first Precure series is to simply look at a huge picture of every single Precure out there and pick which series you want to start based on which designs you like the most.

So here you go:

As for your question about dubs... unfortunately, only 3 of the different Precure series have an English dub. Smile Precure and Doki Doki Precure received "localized" dubs through Netflix, which had a few episodes cut and many names changed, including changing the title from Pretty Cure to Glitter Force. If you can deal with these localization changes, the dubs themselves are pretty good in terms of the voice acting. The original Futari Wa Pretty Cure series also got a dub way back when, simply titled "Pretty Cure", and it didn't have any cut content like the Glitter Force dubs, but some names were still changed though. Unfortunately, Futari Wa's sequel series, Max Heart, was never dubbed, so you would have to switch to subbed anyways if you want the full story.

The last thing worth mentioning is that, besides those three, none of the Precure series are officially licensed outside of Japan. The two Glitter Force dubs (but not their original subbed version) are available on Netflix, while the original Futari Wa Pretty Cure is available (subbed only, and no Max Heart with it) on Crunchyroll. Besides those, you would have to find them "on the high seas" of the Internet.

4 and 13 were from Heartcatch Precure
5 and 14 were from Go Princess Precure
6 and 15 were from Happiness Charge Precure
7 and 16 were from Hugtto Precure

9 and 18 were from the Precure All Stars movies, which are (previously non-canon until Hugtto confirmed that they actually are canon) crossover movies that combine the casts of multiple series.

Like I said, don't feel intimidated. I've only fully finished Heartcatch and seen parts of Futari Wa, Smile, and Hugtto. Pop's finished Smile and Doki Doki and is also caught up with Hugtto. I don't think either of us plans on eventually watching every single Precure series out there, We have no reason to, and neither do you. Just pick out one or two that look interesting to you and dive in. And once you finish those, just wait and see which direction the winds take you next.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go watch today's new episode of Hugtto.
