Because why not? It's still one of the best sources for game info like strategies and walkthroughs. And the social boards are at least a decent distraction when you're bored.

Going on almost 18 here and I'm not really sure haha. I guess it's familiar and there's not many "traditional" message boards left on the Internet since most are modeled after either Reddit or the Chans.

My Internet presence overall is quite low. I don't really participate in anything online at all these days, so this is mainly just a fun little time waster from my past. I sort of grew up with this site, so maybe I'll just keep dropping in from time to time until it's gone. I don't really mind how slow it is now. If anything, it benefits me more for the half hour or less I drop in most days.

My account is only from 2011 but Ive been on here since 2005. I dont even really play video games much anymore, outside of the occasional sports games. I still come here out of habit I guess.

I used to love WWE and I went on a message board for a few years after I stopped watching wrestling before the boards owner shut it down. Just habit is all.

Through different accounts, I've been frequenting this site on & off since Sonic Adventure 2 was a brand new game. Honestly, I'm just drawn to message boards. The debates, sharing of opinions, interesting discussion topics, etc. It's all just engaging to me, at least as a temporary distraction throughout the week.

Still here because I am addicted to the computer and message boards. I ditched GFAQs and went to LL for ten years but that community was dying out and it wasn't fun any more so I decided to come back here.

Message boards just seem like a dying thing though which is kind of sad :(

There still arent any decent alternatives. Gamefaqs is a light and easy to read message board. I would like to move to a better site if there is one.

Reddit is just a massive circle jerk. Like even within the specific subreddits ie witcher. You say anything bad about yennefer (because she really is a bitch) you get downvoted to oblivion.

I've been using gfaqs since around 2002. Been using the boards since about 2004-2005. What I like about gfaqs is that even here on the social boards where you talk about things unrelated to games, you still interact with gamers. I always find gamers to have a slightly different outlook on things than non-gamers. Maybe I'm wrong but it's one of the things that keeps me here. That, and of course the on-topic discussion of specific video games of course.

I've been here since the early 2000's. Ever since I first started using the internet, basically. I think I came here for the RPG Tsukuru (Maker) boards. The community was pretty active back then.

Found this site in like 1999 or something. I was in my high school computer class. I seem to recall that the site was mostly a black color. I could be wrong about the color, as it was years ago. I didn't actually create an account until 2006, tho. I just lurked up until then.
