Gotta say, the West coast is way better for football than the East coast. In Oregon I just got up on Sunday and it was football time. I have freaking three hours to kill now.

I think I'll watch stand up's on Netflix until football

this is really kind of the last chance for the vikings. If they don't beat the iggles, very good chance the season is pretty much over. Please show up defense!!!!!!!!!!!

He probably will play out of his mind, but they'll still lose. This season has been a classic monkey's paw/corrupt-a-wish type thing.

Me: I wish the Vikings had a great QB

The wish is granted and he plays awesome (other than that weird Bills game) but the defense mysteriously vanishes, despite being improved on paper in the offseason. The team becomes the Redskins that Cousins used to play on...crappy defense and he's forced to throw the ball 50 times a game in high scoring shootouts

also skynyrd....quickly, I'm starting Derrick Henry in my flex over Chris Carson and Sammy Watkins. Any thoughts? 14 team standard

I kinda just have a gut feeling that if Henry ever has a good game, it'll be today vs the Bills. If he busts again I might just straight up drop him

Also, 14? I thought my 12 team league was bad. There's no talent on waivers in a 12 team league, can't imagine 14

I chopped a bench slot in the 14 league to help with waivers some, but it's still pretty barren. I really like 14 though. I've played in 8-10 team leagues where everyone has an all star at every position and it's a no brainer on who to start every week.

That's one of the issues I find with fantasy football. It's the easiest fantasy sport, but there's not much movement beyond the draft. There are waiver pickups that make or break you, obviously, but it becomes a coin flip, as everyone races to the same guy. From what I recall, trading is a pain in the ass too.

For sure. My league is now a $100 buy in, but most people still don't trade. They just kind of set and forget, and hope for the best, which is lame because I like trading. It's fine because they all paid the money and can play however they want, but it's just not as fun in my opinion. I've really had to push hard to make a trade with me, and getting a reasonable offer is pretty rare.

I've tried fantasy hockey and basketball and setting the lineups every day gets to be such a chore, even though I'm a pretty big hockey fan. It wasn't a serious league, so maybe it would be different if it was more competitive and there was money on the line.

I didn't mind setting daily line-ups in my fantasy baseball league, but there was a buy-in (a modest one, $30), so there's some motivation to doing so. I find the trade market is more active, however. This year was modest, but I was still able to make some decent trades. Last year was hilarious because one dude had a new team every two weeks.

The only good thing about East coast is that I get off work at 7:30 so I can at least watch Monday and Thursday night games with how late the games start

Sometimes when I'm doing chores, I'll subject myself to a few First Take debates so I'll have something to listen to. I've noticed that every single day they talk about the Steelers, the Cowboys, Mahomes, and sometimes LeBron. They haven't talked about baseball at all and it's the gosh darn playoffs.

We'd be up 8-3 if the special teams and offense hadn't set up the Lions in the red zone. This defense is actually good.

Is Case gonna get benched? I haven't watched much of the Broncos this season but have seen the stats. Not good. I didn't think he would be as good as last year, but also didn't think he'd be this bad.

So I'm in a Packers group on Facebook and when I posted how dumb it was to attempt a 56 yard field goal with Crosby playing this poorly some people argued with me that it was the right call. Packers fans are idiots.

I don't know, I really don't follow all that closely anymore. He isn't the only problem as evidenced by the aforementioned 300+ rushing yards. They probably should've fired Vance Joseph after last season though

He always felt to me like a guy who managed or was carried by a really good Vikings team and he was due to fall back to earth on a lesser team.
