I can't download it for another week so I'm not buying it yet...in the meanwhile, it'd be appreciated if any LiS/BtS fans who play Episode One would message/tag me in some spoiler-free way to say if this is legit or not.

alright so I think I'm getting close to the end of episode 1

and yeah it's really fucking good

then again I also loved Captain Spirit and Before the Storm

without spoiling anything, this game definitely has stronger political undertones than any other game in the series, and gets emotional quick

definitely feels different than the other games, less about discovering yourself and forming relationships and more about family

I liked Before the Storm, certainly more than the start of LIS. Didn't even know Captain Spirit was a thing until like 2 weeks ago. Not sure how I feel about this being about different characters entirely. What's this game's "thing?" Like, does the narrator also have limited time rewind?

The game starts very Life is Strange like, but when the big incident happens, it kind of changes to more of a Last of Us kind of feel (minus the zombies).

Just finished. There was a part in the middle that I got a little bored, but it started and ended strong. Now I'm going to replay it on a different save file and make better choices.

I answered wrong and only got $20 from dad, then I made the stupid decision of depositing $10 into the drug can, which, after the forced dinner visit left me with 30 cents total.

To answer your question foolmo (not really a spoiler, but I'll mark it anyway)

There is a magic gimmick, this time telekinesis. However, you do not use it at all in the entire first episode (but you witness it being done). I am guessing that in later episodes, it can be used.
