I am doing a couple things slightly differently this time so even vets will want to read portions of this. I've modkilled people for being assholes before, and I'll do it again. Saying "your idea is dumb" is totally fine. Saying "you are dumb" is less fine but I won't warn you unless you're being obnoxious. Saying "you are dumb and worthless and your family would be better off without you" is out of bounds and I will modkill you without warning. I am only using my discretion on this, so just don't go over the lines. You know what they are. 1. Mafia is fundamentally a game of the uninformed majority (the TOWN), against the informed minority (the MAFIA/SCUM). It is the town's job to eradicate the mafia completely, and the mafia's job to survive to a point where numbers are such that they cannot lose. YOU MAY NOT PLAY BLIND. If you tell the game you're playing blind or I get the sense you are, I'll modkill you. 2. The town eliminates the mafia via lynches, which occur once a day. Everyone gets one vote which they may place on whoever they feel is scum, and then move to another player at any time. Whoever receives the most votes is 'lynched' and removed from the game. 3. During the night phase, the mafia gets it's chance to even the numbers slightly by killing one townie, removing them from the game. All power roles (under most circumstances) also get to perform their actions. 4. The game ends when one faction meets its victory condition. A player will win, even if they are dead, so long as their alignment triumphs. 5. Do what the host says. The host shouldn't ask you to break a rule, but if he says to do something that violates something else, do it. Feel free to take it up with him in private beforehand, but do it. VOTING 1. You vote in the format '##Vote: Player', in bold. You can remove your vote by posting '##Unvote', also in bold. You can also choose to '##Vote: No Lynch' 2. The lynch is decided on a plurality system. Once one player receives votes from most of the playership left in the game, the day immediately ends, and that player is lynched. Failing that, every day has a time limit of 48 hours. The player in the lead at that point will be lynched. 2a. If there are an even number of players alive, No Lynch only requires half of the players to vote for it. Everything else requires an actual majority. 3. In the event that two or more players are tied in votes at the end of the day, sudden death will occur. A thirty minute extension will begin once indicated by the host, and only the tied players may be voted for. The moment one player emerges as the vote leader, the day immediately ends, and they will be lynched. If there is no change after thirty minutes, the day will end with No Lynch. 3a. In a tie between No Lynch and a player (or players), No Lynch automatically wins, with no tiebreaker. ROLES 1. Before the game begins, you will receive your role from the host. You are not expected to post for the whole 48 hours, but you are expected to keep up to speed with the topic. Posting only a handful of times a day is not an acceptable level of activity. If you expect to be unavoidably absent for a short period (less than 24 hours) at any point in the game, inform the host in advance. Good activity is critical to a good game of mafia and going AWOL is not fun for anyone. You need at least 5 meaningful posts during the day. If you cannot reach this, I will replace you and I will likely do it without warning. 2. Play to win. There is no such thing as being in an unwinnable position in mafia, however hopeless it may seem. If you are patently not trying, and/or sabotaging your faction, you will be on grounds for a modkill. 3. You are forbidden from talking to another player about the game outside the topic, unless you have a special board, or permission from the host to do so. You are forbidden from posting in the topic during the night phase. You are forbidden from editing or deleting posts. This includes players who have been eliminated from the game, and I would appreciate if spectators would do the same. 4. Do not post/pass on messages or pictures from another player into the topic. Do not post audio clips into the topic. 5. Remember to check your messages before posting in each new day, even if you are not expecting correspondence from the host. There may be something you need to be aware of before posting. 6. There are two accounts in this game that are directly under host control: ImGhostWoofWoof and Viserion. You may not vote either of these player slots. You may not use any actions on either of these player slots. 3. Flavor was kept to an absolute minimum in role PMs. This was intentional. I am tired of mod killing people because they do not know how to paraphrase. You can meta role PMs if you want, but it would be pointless. I intentionally changed up format or style. Sometimes things are rationalized. Sometimes they are not. You can paraphrase flavor if you want, but if you come close to repeating what I sent I will modkill you. Please don't do this. 4. Some of you have flavorful role names. Some of you don't. If you have a flavorful role name, you should also have a standard one if applicable. I realize I forgot to send this out to some people, so I contacted them to correct this. YOU MAY NOT POST IF YOU DID OR NOT IN GAME. I will not ban angle shooting entirely, but keep this to a minimum. If you guys start talking about things that do not involve in game play, I may post a warning encouraging you to stop this. Just play the game. I'm tired of terrible parsing of meaningless things that wind up blowing up in town's face more than half of the time. This player base should be held to an extremely high standard, of the players that I have a great deal of interaction with none of them are what I would consider weak and given Suprak's desire to keep the game flowing smoothly I expect no activity issues will do the game harm. We know for certain the mafia team contains 5 members, with a possible 6th anti-town role given that 18 is the sweet spot for a 5+1 setup but ultimately for the purposes of conducting interaction analysis that's a pointless possibility to discuss day one. Some reminders to the 12 people in this game aside from me who are not on the mafia team: 1. Poor play does not mean scum play. Inconsistencies can be scum tactics, but more often than not it is an earnest member of town getting jumbled. Pouncing too quickly on someone before you can create a clear string of logic for their choices will often times identify a false positive and lead to a mislynch 2. Town, however, has no reason to lie about their reasoning. If you can get someone to directly contradict themselves when you exert pressure that is often time scum trying to appear good and not getting their story straight. Use caution though, as these two concepts are similar in nature. 3. Claims day 1 and early game are anti-town. Later on they are pro town because they fill in pieces. DoomTheGyarados 09/27/18 11:03:52 PM #32:	Got an ear infection but they finally figured out that my migraines were caused by a strained muscle in my neck that was kind of tearing everything else down, and also explained why it hurt worse at night (I was resting with my right side of my head facing up, which that position caused the muscle to twitch) and so I have a muscle relaxant that is helping A TON. Beyond that I am an assistant on a gay talk show now and I interact with people live that's cool. I did not say Your observation is wrong, but merely the fact that you characterize your stance as something of a limb when it is the most natural null tell given where it came in the game (the start) seems incorrect. Also your explanations don't make sense either. I, as scum, do not make that post to be more challenging: I make that post so I can hit the ground running and get myself started early instead of starting cold. It makes the game easier for me as scum, because no matter what I tell the town to do in post one if my influence is high that leads to bad situations for towns every time.
