People are slamming his post as Jordan has hit back and branded him "racist" and "sexist" She wrote that neither she or crawford had any involvement with the "fights and scenes" that Meek discussed. She said "Somehow for Meek, the blame for the university's enrollment decline and city's decline in property value was easier to associate with 2 women of color as opposed to the particular demographic that has been at the forefront of the school's most controversial moments by far. The post reeks of racist ideology as well as misogyny and is not representative of who either of us are" Meek has been in public relations for 37 years and donated over 5 million to the university in 2009 as the Ole Miss Chancellor, Jeffrey Vitter said his post had an unjustified racial overtone and Meek apologized It happened when he shared 2 pictures of 2 black girls dressed in party clothes in the town square following a football game. He wrote that he hesitated to post the pics but said it was important to blame the REAL PEOPLE responsible for Louisiana's decline in property values and enrollment in university because of "people like them" causing 180 police working the weekend of fights and scenes but laid squarely the blame on the 2 women and how they looked. He urged the city of Oxford and the university to "protect the values that we hold dear" and this caused outrage racking up hundreds of messages for his racist tone as commentators noted how white women often wear similar outfits but weren't photographed or criticized. The school's Black Student Union says the juxtaposition implies real estate values are dropping because of the presence of black women.. He deleted his post and made an apology but both women REJECTED his fake apology A petition has been moved to remove his name from the Dept of Journalism in hopes of correcting the unjustified racial comments about african american population at the University of Mississippi and in Oxford as 1090 people signed so far. Because rambunctious millennials have been not just at the forefront but the instigators for almost every controversy lately, whether it's involvement in terrorist groups like Antifa or inciting mayhem (including vandalism and full-scale race riots) with BLM. And both seem to be part of the sports crowd raising hell that he was complaining about.
