I love the argument "The democrats will try to disparage anyone who gets nominated!" no shit, that's their job. Pick a candidate who can stand up to the scrutiny. One that isn't a rapist

And there's no reason to use "I'd rather let 10 rapists walk free than convict one non rapist" logic here. I'd rather prevent 10 maybe rapists from being supreme court judges than confirm one who's definitely tried it.

Problem is he didn't rape anyone. I don't know why people keep saying this. Sexual assault is the allegation, not rape. This is the equivalent of being drunk and groping you, who is also drunk, in a Walmart parking lot and then the both of us going our separate ways.

Its not rape.

would be rapist. if her story is to be believed, he still intended to do it and traumatized a girl whether or not he succeeded at actual rape no one is denying that. it's still something that should disqualify someone for a supreme court seat

Al Franken had evidence in the form of a picture. Kavanaugh's accusor has "evidence" in the form of therapist notes from thirty years later that do not even name him. Gee I wonder if there is a difference.

When you rape when you're young, people say "there shouldn't be consequences, he has a whole future ahead".

Franken really should have just stuck it out for a few more weeks and I think he'd have been fine. I've heard a good number of people on the left lament the fact that he resigned.

b) she tried to remain anonymous
c) she has received no money or real fame but many, many death threats

But she probably did it because shes a GOLD DIGGING WHORE LIKE ALL WOMEN WHY WONT THEY TOUCH MY DINKER DONGER

d) she waited until a very politically convenient time to actually reveal this happened and there are no indications that she ever reported it to the police.
e) The DNC didn't consider her credible enough to let the letter out until they ran out of any real options.
