Im not the biggest fighting game fan but I really enjoyed the story mode of Injustice, does this have something similar?

Injustice is better but MK's is plenty entertaining, especially considering no-one else really puts this much effort into a fighting games story. Just try not to think about it too much.

Krypt was awesome. But yeah, I dont recall anything memorable in the story mode.

It has one of the more well written fighting game stores dont know what elitist fighting games with novel esque stories these people are used to

it's like injustice. i never finished the mkx, so i can't comment on if it's good or bad. But if you want a fighting game that has a movie styled storyline... this has it.

Don't know if it is any different then MKX (My understanding is XL is just X with all the DLC), but the story mode in X was really good. Mortal Kombat has had great story modes since the PS2 era games. X was not as good as 9, but still far better then other fighting game "story modes".

yes xl is the expansion. i comes with more characters for x. it doesn't add a new story line to the story mode. it does add a new story ending when you play the arcade mode.
