more games doesn't really mean better for me these days since i'm trying to prioritize

I'm not gonna go over EVERYTHING but Just Captain Commando alone

The ability to run and having medium range attacks

BAM

that completely changes the dynamic of the game

and the fact that their sprites are smaller means more room to maneuver around

not to mention the aesthetic of using Super heroes

small tweaks like these in a simple genre like Beat em ups mean everything

I could already play all of these games via FightCade.
Only downside is FightCade only supports 2 players.

I would only remotely consider getting this collection if I actually knew more than 2 people to play them with once in awhile.

I might get it for Switch maybe or even Steam.

King of Dragons, Knight of the round, Captain Commando and Warriors of Fate are all to long games. Had a lot of fun with them 20 years ago on a emulator so maybe I'll buy it anyway.

It got delayed on PC for who knows why, but I'll probably pick it up whenever it comes out. (Unless that input lag thing is true and doesn't get fixed, that sounds pretty gross.)

The netcode is GGPO so input delay can be manually adjusted. The default seemed fine for me even when online, and Ive played these games a ton on MAME so I know how it should feel

Online connection worked pretty well when connected with one other person, but when a third joined there were problems. Still need to play a bit more to see if thats a consistent thing or just that one time.

Okay yeah this seems like a consistent thing, playing with more than one other person online makes it pretty unpleasant.

If someone quits out, their character stays in the game. They wont attack or anything, but theyll walk around (that way you dont get stuck). If a new person joins the session in that character slot they automatically take over that character instead of selecting for themselves. You still get to change characters when you use a Continue though

If the host of the session quits out, it kicks all players out. I hope this in particular can get changed.

I'll end up getting it where the majority of people get it. The trophy situation of the PS4 version is disappointing so I'm not feeling like i have to get that version if more people are going for Switch

I played Captain Commando on a different system and positively hated it. I could go for some Final Fight, though, and I don't think I ever played a few of those. I'll probably go out and get a $25 card so I can buy this.

The SNES version of Captain Commando is pretty bad. Even the arcade version is probably the worst game in this collection but it's quite an improvement over that.

PS4. I had to continue just to get through the first stage of Final Fight. Guy seems to be unresponsive to turns and button presses.

The switch is really gunning for GOAT console with all of these bundles

Is the physical release Japanese only?
