I can't even get out the first town without the game freezing. What a piece of crap. Why would anyone develop a game using this old as engine from 1985?

Almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter, am I right?

I must have been really lucky because I had the PC version and I don't remember it crashing on me at all. Then again I had very minimal mods so that was probably why.

I'm playing the PS3 version and it crashes every ten minutes

that's your issue. the guys at bethesda who ported their games to PS3 had mental issues and royally fucked them up.

I know I was pretty fortunate with my experience. I played on the 360 and the only significant issue I ever had with the game was freezing in El Dorado Dry Lake. The game would consistently freeze when I crossed a certain part of it.

Otherwise, no issues.

PS3 version... oof!

If you're going to continue playing on that system there are a few things you can do: disable auto-saves, save on separate files, delete older files as you go.

Oh, and it's a good idea to loot weapons from slain enemies and put them back on the corpse. Similarly, avoid using energy/plasma weapons. Don't loosely drop items in the world either. The game won't remove those things from the world, which leads to save bloat as you play. This will make the game increasingly unstable the longer you play.

FO3 and New Vegas are both glitchy as shit. If you're on PC get the unofficial fan patch it will help a ton

Also, your sabotaging the already buggiest version of that game. Regular gun builds are much better anyway.

It works the other way too. In Skyrim the Master level Shield Charge perk would simply stop working after a time. This same perk appeared in Fallout 4 1,200 days later in the form of Pain Train and the same glitch is still present.

Energy weapons are superior to gun in New Vegas, especially if you have the DLC. The only advantage guns have are that they can be silenced

Still I like using guns because they look cooler. I like to use a LMG and roleplay as a mobster

I played on PC and XBox, and the XBox version froze on me during certain load screens. I ended up saving every 10 minutes and had like 8 files, lol.

I just wish there was an endgame like 4.

I played on ps3 and the only time it froze on me was inside that big NCR base. Dunno what's wrong with yours.

Bethesda rushed them into releasing an unfinished game but lets face it. Whats the last beths studios game that didnt launch with game breaking bugs?
