For me, it was 2015.

- Studied abroad;
- Finally got over my ex (we stopped hanging out after I went studying abroad in Feb 2015);
- Met new people, travelled to many countries with low cost bus/train/airline companies;
- It was the last summer I had all three months vacation (technically two, but still), due to the next year I started working;
- Started dating my current girlfriend on the end of the year

I miss those days.

1997

Had a girlfriend and felt amazing. But I wish it had never happened cause it didn't last and afterwards I always have felt bad since. It would have been better to never know such joy and then go without it again

This^

Every year, new (and old) classes to teach, stuff to learn, new (and old) projects to pursue, same (and new) friends, grandkids grow up more, worldwide industry to supply me with new (and old) books, movies, music, games, gadgets... If the purpose of life is to have too much fun, I'll never get there but I can approach it on an asymptotic curve.

Gotta agree.

2004 stands out as the year I met my wife and was really a great year to just be a young man. I went on several road trips with friends and I guess Im just nostalgic about those times. For several years running though things have just been getting better as time goes on.

One day it all ends or falls apart so Im gonna enjoy every moment while it lasts.

Either this year or sometime in the 90s

Around the early 2000s when I got into grade school I got very depressed, after HS was better but this year has been the best in quite a while, but that's because I started seeing a therapist last year into earlier this year so ive been able to think my way out of it when the depression starts to rise up.

2016.

Moved to a new city, had my own apartment, started my career as a teacher. Then later in 2016, moved to yet another new city and a new teaching position, which I still have today. Also, I began exercising in 2016, which I've maintained until now as well.

That year felt like I started a new life completely. I feel disconnected to the person I was before that.

Around 1996 when I last had friends, a "GF" and actually enjoyed life for the most part. That all went away when I had to move out of the area though and into the area where I live now.

So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized that ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.

I can relate, not so drastically that every day is worse than the day before, but just with the fact that when we start working, we get caught up in this routine, that we almost forget what's really important.

Don't get me wrong, in my case I'm trying to get another job, as I'm already fed up with the one I have right now. And we need to work (well, most of us) in order to provide for ourselves and family when the time comes.

But what I'm saying is that when we start working, we tend to forget what's really important, like spending time with our loved ones. We all need to find a good balance in life, in order for us not to go insane, although it's much more difficult that it seems, because we tend to spend more time with our coworkers rather than with the people that actually mean something in our lives.

2015 - 2016

It was the worst year of my life, but showed me I can get through anything. Gotta be thankful for the bad times so you can appreciate the good times.
