I'm fully aware that at least half of what I'm experiencing is envy. The other half is a kind of strange pity.

She's 27 and walking into her first ever job interview today. Not first job interview in her field mind you. Literally the first time she's ever had to sit down in front of another person and justify earning a paycheck.

She coasted through her degree, failed college and then fell back on a backup course that she just scraped by.

Not that it really matters.

She has her own penthouse apartment in the center of town, paid for by the bank of dad. This is just her temporary place while her new penthouse apartment is being renovated. She'll own that one. Even the temporary place is nicer than what most people will ever have even while living with two roommates.

The way she talks about the place you'd think this was her own pocket though. "Ugh, I just wasn't happy with the initial interior design at all, it's quite tacky. I'm in the process of picking out some colour schemes at the moment, and I'm ditching the hideous blinds". These are the words out of the mouth of a person who is having a penthouse apartment bought for her by her parents.

How do you even respond to that? Yeah hun that sounds terrible, totally get where you're coming from?

I've come to realise she's really insecure about being a bit of a failure but she's also the laziest person I've ever seen when it comes to just about everything. Her apartment is a state. She wakes up at 3pm. She drinks most nights. I don't think she's happy.

TL;DR - rich parents make sure her chief concerns as someone approaching her 30s is paint swathes for the living room.

you are correct

the sex was still worth it because I'd only hit her up when I wasn't getting any else where and it was low effort but yeah I would not recommend
