Easily the best super hero have I've played. Super fun just swinging around the city. The combat is cool and flashy, and I hope it doesn't get stale. The combat is a little too "on rails", but still fun

I'm loving it. My son loves it, too. He's not too shabby at 4 years old but when there's a lot of brutes or thugs with shields or guns he gets overwhelmed. If I bumped it down to easy I wonder if he could get by without my help.

those games are what inspired this. the whole idea was "let's make an Akrham game but with Spiderman"

Ah. I do own Spider-Man so will form my own opinion once I've played it. Still finishing up the main story on Witcher 3 again at the moment.

I've been bouncing back and forth between Destiny 2: Fosaken and Spider-Man. Spider-Man is definitely a ton of fun and I don't think I can get tired of zipping through the city. I kinda suck at combat but it's still really fun. Web Blossom is a lifesaver.

Gambit mode is really fun. But I'm pretty burned out on Destiny. Only play when my brother asks me to tag along with his clan-mates if they need an extra body.

Spider-Man is a good game, but it's hard to top the Arkham trilogy since it basically shaped an entire generation of gamers.

One of the best games this year without a doubt though, maybe top 5 and even top 3.

My problem with the combat was being conditioned to use triangle when countering in the Arkham games. Switching it to circle threw me for a loop but as I played more I adjusted and now the combat is super fun.

Loving the game a lot. First game I have loved in a long time. Some complaints, but not many. Fucking love the Scarlett spider suit.

Best superhero game ever?? Probably.. Arkham city is probably the only one that compares.

I personally wouldn't count the marvel vs capcom games as "superhero" games because they are just fighting games with superheroes in it.

I would definitely put it up there with the Arkham games. It's extremely polished and the combat only gets better as you buy new abilities.

It pretty much followed the Arkham battle style. A bunch of gadgets, and then a beat em up with a bunch of different enemies that you have to use different tactics to beat them

Finished it earlier today, only need 1 trophy for platinum and I'll get it tomorrow. It's a great game, will likely keep playing for a while.

Also, I glitched the final boss into just defending himself. He'd do nothing but smack me away if attacked. I thought maybe it was the next phase of the fight since I just had made it there.

I'm playing on the hardest available difficulty. I'd died a lot at first because the enemies were just doing so much damage to me, and I wasn't really used to the combat. Plus, to dodge, you gotta look for the spider sense lines above Spider-Man's head, which is kinda hard to see at first. Super fun game, and I'm glad I didn't just steam roll everything. I can see that at some point I will be good enough to never get touched, and just beat the shit out of everything easily.

The game isn't anywhere near as punishing as dark souls. If you die, you basically just restart exactly where you were just at. Dark souls was hard for me because you had to basically redo most of the level if you died.

There are definitely Arkham elements. But it also does its own thing. Not to mention Arkham itself was influenced by Assassin's Creed, Metroidvanias, and even other Spider-Man games.

On Spectacular mode it's pretty challenging at first. Once you start getting better at the combat and earning new gadgets, it's far less challenging.

Yeah, I've heard nothing but good things about the game so far. I'll definitely be getting it eventually. I JUST got the new God of War, and I still need to play through that.

I used to play games on Hard, but lately, my schedule has been so busy, and my backlog so full, I've been having to dumb down difficulty just for the sake of time alone. But it's good to know that failing in this game doesn't necessarily mean you're wasting a lot of time.

The Scarlet Spider costume looks awesome. The only reason I'm not using it full-time is because the eyes don't "emote", and I feel like I'm missing some of the subtle animations during cutscene.
