Other countries with high gun ownership like Switzerland and Finland don't get so many mas shooters because they see guns as what they are, self-defense weapos...while in America, gun culture is just too obsessive its like a Marihuana smoker that only talks about diferent kinds of weed and only watcher stoner films and music...main difference is that with guns it can get dangerous..

I am usually pro guns since I own 3 for self defense but our American gun culture is ridiculous too many owners are too obscured with guns.

Either change gun culture or banning guns start to actually make sense...allowing gun obsessed irreverent people to have access to guns is like allowing pedophiles to enter schools

I think the bigger issue is young men not having any idea how to deal with aggression. Been taught their whole life that they need to "man up" the moment anything even remotely associated with "emotions" comes into play. And it has created an entire generation of human powder kegs that are ready to explode.

It also doesn't help that a frightening number of young men don't have a father figure in their life.

Truly sad times.

That might be a contributing factor to the aggression, but easy access to guns is the number one factor. Your hypothesis falls apart when you note that mass shootings rarely happen in Canada, which apart from Quebec has nearly an identical culture to the US.

It's a class and parenting issue, yuppies don't let their children fail, especially when they have pressures that the poor and working class don't have and it drives them to the brink then they snap and kill many people.

If you look at the root of the problem, guns are the problem. If every gun was banned, gun deaths wouldn't occur. That isn't realistic though, so what is the next thing we can look at?

A higher degree of gun control is the answer. People have killed for many reasons, but if you take their tool away they can only do minimum damage. Mental health, infidelity, accidents, wars, and many other "reasons" people use to kill with guns can be prevented if they just don't have access to it.

In the perfect world, guns would be locked to the user and can only be used in certain areas.

American culture will not change, we had young kids get shot at Sandy Hook and nothing has changed.

The answer is to make guns better/safer Everything else is a distraction.
