If you look at the root of the problem, guns are the problem. If every gun was banned, gun deaths wouldn't occur. That isn't realistic though, so what is the next thing we can look at?

A higher degree of gun control is the answer. People have killed for many reasons, but if you take their tool away they can only do minimum damage. Mental health, infidelity, accidents, wars, and many other "reasons" people use to kill with guns can be prevented if they just don't have access to it.

In the perfect world, guns would be locked to the user and can only be used in certain areas.

American culture will not change, we had young kids get shot at Sandy Hook and nothing has changed.

The answer is to make guns better/safer Everything else is a distraction.
