First of all friendships grow naturally over time and just because I'm talking to someone that doesn't mean I automatically MUST become their friend or even want to be. As I said some of my bros friends have become my acquaintances simply buy getting to know them, sharing a few beers with them and so on. You claimed I don't talk to folk when I do and you claim I wonder why I have no friends when I don't. You also think I have a job for some reason. Even though I've been quite open about that situation.

Just because you talk to someone doesn't make them your friend. He said he has acquaintances, though. Which means he does at least talk to people. But even then, it doesn't mean they'll end up being a friend. And you can't force a friendship. It something that usually takes time to build up. It doesn't mean he self-sabotaging or anything.

An acquaintance is someone you know of, like you know their name or what they look like. A work colleague can be an acquaintance if you strictly keep things business, but when there's mutual liking it goes from neutral to positive, i.e. a friendship.

It could be probably a definition issue here. It depends on what you see a friend as. You both can have a similar relationship with a person. But maybe even though Kyuubi4269 calls them a friends, wwinterj25 sees them as an acquaintance. Like I've played Smash Bros with a bunch of people like 3 times. We even all went to the bar together afterwards. But I still consider them acquaintances. But by your definition, it sounds like you are saying I should call them friends. But I don't see them that way. I'm sure if I said something about it like, "We're friends, right?", they would probably say yes. But it just doesn't really feel like friendship.

Also, it could be the area. Even with you're bad anxiety and your generally malicious outlook, you make friends. But it's people who can deal with that or like you because of that. But depending on his area, it may be different for him.

As far as the topic title personally, no, not really. Though, people tend to disagree, which is really nice to hear. Just yesterday someone mentioned I should look into modeling, and it was a really nice confidence booster.
