You don't see a lot of women that want to go and sleep around because no matter how many men they fuck, they're going to get to knocked up by one of them. This is honest-to-god one of the stupidest posts I have ever read. The social stigma arises from the male desire to hoard women. By shaming them when they have sex with multiple men, it encourages them to be loyal to one. It is the exact same reason women are forced to wear burkas in the middle east--men want to own women.
Points surrounding biology are only valid in that women tend to be more choosy when picking a male because they have more invested. Branding a woman a slut because she sleeps around has nothing to do with biology.

But at the same time, yeah it's kinda fucked up if a girl in poverty gets knocked up and introduced a child into the world in those kind of circumstances where she can barely support herself much less another child.

He got arrested for stealing 100k from the credit union he worked at over time, and moved to a far away town. Every now and then he'll be in town and we'll go catch a movie and have some drinks, but he never really grew up. He had three other kids with another wife that he got divorced from that are my siblings, and I talk to them. My sister and I are particularly pretty close. But him himself, he's a kid that never grew up. He was never a dad to me, hes honestly just a friend I see every now and then.

The heavy scrutiny is mostly for people looking to adopt. Fostering has a much lower bar.

Also, friendly reminder: anyone other than a healthy, white baby is going to have difficulty being adopted. Over the age of five, you can basically give up on living anywhere other than a foster home. Also, keep in mind that when kids age out of the system, they are often just tossed out on their asses. Some states have programs to help with the transition, but just as many will literally drop you off at the homeless shelter on your 18th birthday.

Lol. I mean its whatever. I got lucky because my grandparents are honestly like parents to me, I mean I grew up in their house for 7 years and when we "moved away" it was across the yard and I still went over there every day. :P I love them and had a good family life even if it wasnt the typical dad and mom thing. I had a good upbringing.

My step dad on the other hand is a different story but I dont really wanna get into that.
