It's been over a week since it was sent in for repairs (dropped it. plastic bent and would not close evenly. no apparent damage to internals or screen).

Sure, I still annoy you guys with shit topics, but the 3DS is the least shitty way of online browsing (since Edge is a joke on Xbox One, PS4 having a shitty browser, and Switch lacking one in a failed attempt to prevent piracy and hacking).

Thankfully, GaneFAQs mostly works, due to the administrators not being idiots and making a bullshit "modern" layout to make it look generic and like every other website in existence.

I can fully attest that the government gives you WAY more money then you need. I recently took over my mom's finances and was shocked when I realized that my mother who had been on SSI for the last 7 years had $10K in the bank. Apparently they had been overpaying her and she just let it accumulate in her checking account.

Are you sure it was from SSI and not from just regular social security? With SSI, there's a limit to the amount of cash you're allowed to have; I believe it's $2000. If you have more than that, then you're supposed to report it and then your payments are supposed to be adjusted. If it was social security, then she's free to do as much or as little with it as she wants.

Definitely SSI. She didn't qualify for Social Security until a few years ago. Knowing her though, she probably didn't report what she had.

Either way, now she isn't getting payments anymore since she is in a nursing home.
