It's been a while, maybe that was something Bethesda introduced into their engine later. I mostly remember it for quickly selling arrows in Skyrim. When you have 1,000+ arrows you don't want to scroll one item at a time. So holding one of the keys while selecting item increments would jump by 10% or so.

^^Yep, it sucks. You're much better off giving the perk to yourself, which is of course a monumentally selfish thing to do story / RP-wise.

Weapon repair kits, which can be a pain in the ass to obtain in significant quantities otherwise, and there's a few weapons which can be very difficult to find other weapons to repair them with. The holorifle can only be repaired with repair kits or by NPCs who offer the service.

Mucked about in Fallout 4 and in that game the VATS and Crouch buttons shift quantities by 5% when pressed. So if you had 2,000 rounds of .38 caliber and wanted to sell 1,000 you'd tap the button 10 times in the trade window.

The holorifle is glitched and borderline invincible.

Plus, I get 1000 free tokens every couple days, more than enough to cover the rare occasion I need a repair kit.

Well, if you got through Dead Wind Cavern then the rest of the vanilla game won't even begin to challenge you.

Did you get through the Courier's Mile in the Lonesome Road DLC? That's the final challenge of the game. If you can clear that place of all its nonsense then you're officially unstoppable.

I finally beat this game for the first time a few weeks ago. Felt pretty good to dust off my old Currier and pretty much complete all of the content in it. I may go back to it and get another ending. I went with the NCR ending.

The good thing is that you can still broker alliances with the Kings, Khans and Brotherhood, in spite of her hardassery. This is why, for me personally, NCR is the most attractive endgame option apart from Independent; if House wasn't so hardline about the Brotherhood, I'd go his way every single time I did an Energy / Intelligence build.

Ulysses grew on me over the years. Originally I hated him, simply because the unimaginable hype created around him by three of the best addons I'd ever played was impossible to live up to. Once that initial letdown wore off, he's a solid character with a lot of depth. And I've got to give Obsidian credit for doing about as good as they could giving a faceless character a backstory that toed the line between vague and specific.
