But my real answer would be the amazing leaps in technology. Everything getting bigger and and better.

As a child of the mid 80's, I remember them being totally awesome, but the 90s is still my favorite decade.

Also, music still on MTV

Springsteen has always sucked. Madonna was meh. Why wait for Nirvana when stuff like Killing Joke, Buzzcocks, Pixies, Sonic Youth, and Echo & the Bunnymen existed? U2 has been overrated, and Blondie is alright.

120 Minutes was the reason to watch MTV in the 80s and 90s.

And yes I get the reference in the topic title.

People actually had to have a personality, and couldn't spend all day purity-spiraling on Twitter and Facebook. People went out and did things with their free time. People had good jobs, and could even live alone on a McDonald's paycheck. College was for higher learning, not indoctrination. People largely minded their own business, not virtue-signaling all day.

Wonder how many will actually realize why the options you selected are even there. I'm guessing most went over people's heads and didn't sing along. I went with music on MTV.

Edit: One person seemed to have gotten the reference.
