All the money I don't spend on a car note goes to basic upkeep and necessary repairs. I'll never lease a car. If you take good care of a car, it can last a lot longer than 10 years and still be in great shape. Assuming you drive 10,000 miles per year, then 10 years would be 100,000 miles. People dont want to be drenched in sweat in the summer and have to ride through ice and snow in the winter in sub zero temperatures. People dont want to be drenched in sweat in the summer and have to ride through ice and snow in the winter in sub zero temperatures. Or a lot over time making it(for a short while) cost more than a new car would.
