because its obvious they wont make a new one for like 20 years. they will just sit on this game and collect money from it and maybe once in a while theyll add a new character or stage but theres nothing else big enough to add. and maybe in 20 years the world will be in a worse state so there wont be free time to enjoy the game and there wont be a game industry anymore because hillary is going to win in 2020 and mess everything up so it will be a mad max world most likely.

But yeah...I imagine they're going all out with this one because Sakurai did say it was either this or a reboot/reimagining of the series with around half the roster cut. Honestly wouldn't mind if they continue development with DLC and just go crazy with it. Always willing to spend extra for some new characters and stages. Tbh they should move on from Smash after this and corroborate on more traditional fighters.
The current formula has gotten to DBZ Budokai levels, where they used all the legitimate characters and all left to add are "Farmer with Shotgun or "Vegeta With Saiyan Armor No Tail and Shattered Scouter But Imagine if He Could Have Used Kaio Ken" --- Sigs are for losers ... Copied to Clipboard!

At the bare minimum, Spyro, Crash, Bomberman, the prince (Katamari), and Rayman would all be seen as legitimate new IP characters to add. (Dumb) people thought Ultimate was going to be a port, but I agree that Ultimate will instead be the one that ends up just getting ported 900 times after this. Just give it little DLC packs as needed forever. Theres almost nothing else to add at this point, especially if theres any kind of Adventure Mode.
