12 year olds wear sports jackets?

Do you really not get that suits are attractive to wear?

And again, the watch, why is anyone questioning if you should wear a watch or not?

Its just a professional look. Apple watches count because they're stylish and sleek. But I prefer actual watches, they really do make you look more sophisticated. Idk the psychology behind it, I just know its true. Tbh I'm surprised by how much push back that's getting, I thought everyone knew that.

makes you look more sophisticated, like you have places to be at certain times. also shows that you appreciate style and craftsmanship. show me a guy's watch and i can tell you a lot about them. is it an apple watch? a timex? a tudor? a rolex?

lol, that's the type of stuff people who want to appear stylish but actually have no idea about craftsmanship wear. all that stuff is marked up for the designer label but actually poorly produced. this is why i pay $500 for shoes, i actually understand the process that went into making them and don't buy it just for the brand.

craftsmanship is an important part of style and sophistication, it really sets apart the real ones from the imposters

I just dont wear non-sneakers so I cant justify the price. I would either get some cheap 100 buck ones to get by, or go for super high fashion labels that are like a grand each.

He should have said mature or professional.

Saying adult makes people feel defensive that youre claiming anything else is childish. For example:

This post is irrelevant to the op. TC is specifically talking about a certain look. He didnt say how to dress well.

why? because you're brainwashed by the media into thinking the gucci is better...when in fact its not. i'm an individual thinker, not a sheeple and i actually understand what i'm paying for. give me full grain leather and a good year welt any day of the week over the corrected grain glued sole guccis.

let me put it this way: it cost $20 to produce gucci shoes and you'd have to buy them for $500. the shoes I buy cost $300 to produce and $500 to buy...which one is actually a better value?

Thats a kinda rude assumption. I would buy the Gucci because people know it. It is a household name. I want to wear something recognizable. People can tell Gucci/LV from a mile away. That is more important to me than a slight increase in quality. You disagree, but that is how I feel.

and i think it's utterly ridiculous to want to wear something just because it's "recognizable". Give me quality and style any day of the week. you're actually getting poor value from your guccis. it's free commerce so go for it, personally i'd rather actually be smart. and fyi when i go out, i get complimented on my shoes 10x than my friend who wears gucci...

I always buy clothes that are nice and fairly affordable (Lacoste, Adriano Goldschmied, Goorin Bros). I do have a pair of $600 Montblanc sunglasses including prescription lenses, but that's an exception. But when it comes to shoes I only care about comfort. I wear Vans Authentics all day.

i actually didn't learn fashion from MFA, but a lot of basics overlap. and gotta start with the basics, i personally do a lot of stuff that definitely wouldn't go over well here: i don't wear socks at all, mostly wear double monk straps, prefer suede to leather and wear a sportcoat with henleys

ah, the casio edifice, the poor mans speedmaster lol. good classic watch, at least you have good taste, but since it's more of an entry level watch due to it's cheaper price, entry level brand and being a quartz instead of an automatic, i think you care about style, but probably don't too much care about craftsmanship. strap is a leather nato, which lets me know you're at least saavy enough to swap it out on your own and you have good taste there as well. you probably own more than one watch, wouldn't be surprised if there was a nicer one in the rotation either.
