I should of included assassin, since some people like that option as well, if they want an alternative to mage. So include that, too.

A Spellblade (Warrior + Mage hybrid). You can just enchant your weapons magic, why spend your whole class on it? Seems like a waste. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Mage and Assassin/Rogue are my favorite types. Mages have a cool amount of variety whereas I like the stealth-based gameplay of an Assassin/Rogue (and some of my favorite stuff in Skyrim was sneaking around enemy hideouts and stealth-killing opponents rather than winning in an outright fight). Granted, my Rogue-type characters often *are* archers so... meh.
Healers I kinda like in concept, but I mostly play single-player titles so they aren't terribly useful (ie, can only heal yourself). And, while I like archers in games where you can pick a class (because you're less likely to take damage), I prefer games featuring warriors/brawlers. --- (\/)(\/)|-| There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist. ... I'm a retired healer and mage, so, no, I let my licenses lapse when I retired, no more required CEUs, yay! I still compete in martial arts tournaments, empty hand and weapons, so, warrior.

Depends on the context.
When I was younger and in shape, my default behavior in a fight would probably have been to just step in and hit things, so Warrior would have been a good fit. Especially because I'm 6'3", and in my prime I was relatively strong/athletic. On the other hand, I've also been a huge nerd since at least kindergarten, and I've always enjoyed studying esoteric crap, including a lot of historical occultism. So if we actually lived in a world where magic was actually real and not totally bullshit, I could easily see myself sliding more into a Mage role. But in terms of strategy and tactics, at least in most games I play, I tend to prefer falling back and playing more of a support role (and in the same vein, whenever I played team sports I always took the defender role because it's necessary and everyone else always wants to be on offense so they can be the team hero - my mindset was always more "If the team wins, I win"), so I could see myself as a Healer/support class sort of role as well. Though not in the D&D sense, where you have to be somewhat pious/religious because all the healing magic comes from the gods. In that sort of setting, I'd probably just default back to being the Mage and throwing fireballs. Never an Archer, though. Even in video games, I usually avoid the bow unless I have no other choice. For that matter, I'd make a terrible Ranger or Rogue in general. I pretty much hate nature, and I'm too large and stompy to be good at stealth. It's the one class archetype I can't really see myself fitting into at all. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ... Copied to Clipboard!
