I'd say the CW is more or less the same as the WB. The few types of shows WB had that CW doesn't mostly went away because those shows got cancelled/just faded away. But in a universe where both the WB and UPN had stuck around, the WB there would probably look a lot like the CW we have here. If anything, UPN is the channel that lost its identity a bit more, but honestly, it had less identity to lose in the first place. A lot of its core was basically just black-oriented sitcoms (which you can absolutely find elsewhere these days) and Star Trek (which mostly disappeared less because UPN went away and more because the audience was absolutely burnt out on Star Trek - and reruns of the worthwhile older shows are still available on other channels, while the new shows are on CBS' streaming service, so they likely wouldn't have been on a hypothetical modern UPN anyway). The only other shows UPN really had were syndicated shows, and most of those got picked up by other channels, including the stop-gap channels like MyNetworkTV (which took UPN's spot in the NYC area).
