If you find them just as attractive, but you're like "nah I won't date them, they're inferior", or especially if you'd hook up with one but refuse to date one... you're probably racist.

I think it begins to border on being racist because someone is negating an entire race of people that can have quite a bit of variety. Have you seen every black person to know that you aren't attracted to them?

Exactly the point is you are not judging an individual, you are judging a race. Hell you can even say I am not attracted to the typical looking black/asian/latino person and that wouldn't be racist. But to say you find all of x race unattractive without having seen all of x race is the definition of racism.

It's kind of natural to be attracted to your own race. There's nothing racist about it, but I've never heard someone say in public they won't have a relationship with a certain type of girl.

I have tried with just about every kind of girl back in highschool, and I gotta say Mexican women are my type.

I'm on the fence here. Like, there's attractive girls of all races. You also can't be sure what their personality is going to be like based on where they're from or the colour of their skin. They could be the perfect girl for you and maybe you'd never know it because you have a "no Asians allowed" dating policy based on a bunch of arbitrary stereotypes that don't really exist in the real world.

I guess I don't consider saying "I prefer to date only *insert race here*" racist. Entirely excluding a group based on race is kind of racist though. You don't know all of them personally, you are just going by their outward appearance.

It's worse then that because you aren't even going by their outward appearance, all races have individuals that look drastically different from the race standard. You're excluding even these people based on the fact that they belong to a group that you have determined a priori to be unattractive.

I'd say no, even if someone found a way to not be sexually attracted to an entire race...

I'm not attracted to most black women, but i dont think they are the scum of the earth, nor do i think they should be treated differently or have any different rights bc of their race.

Idk what affects sexual preferences, be it being raised one way or the surrounding culture... But i dont see how your preferences for your own sexual life have anything to do with what you think of another race altogether.

I mean, I wouldnt date a guy, but im not homophobic. But I wouldn't care if a friend or familymember wants to be gay or interracial.

This reminds me, when I was in the military my best friend (black guy) also didnt find black chicks attractive. He just liked white girls specifically.

If the preferences are actually preferences then I don't think it's necessarily racist.

For instance "I prefer Asians but I wouldn't mind dating a Mexican" or "I don't generally find white people attractive but they are some notable exceptions." And of course.

If you refused to date anyone from a specific race at all then you're a racist, or at least close to one.

I mean, it's really hard to justify not being attracted to an entire race, considering even individuals within that race vary greatly.

It's not impossible though. What if you simply don't like the literal color contrast of being with some of a different shade?

Nothing wrong with preferences. It's not racist if you aren't attracted to the majority of black girls and wouldn't date them. But to exclude all black girls is pretty racist. You haven't met all of them and they are so diverse in looks and personality.

What criteria are you basing your exlusionary decision on? Skin color? People can be widely different skin tones within the same race, and people of different races can have simular skin tones. Prejudicial views of behavior?
