Who are people like me? You're proving my point. A society found something that greatly enriched their society and it led to a cultural and intellectual renaissance? That is literally what I'm arguing. Resources and quality are far more important to the intelligence of a society than the dominant skin color. Also, if natural intelligence is a factor, than why are black people in America smarter than black people in African countries? Why are white people in Mississippi generally dumber than white people in other American states? Can there be a genetic component at all given how intelligence in general has risen? There has been a huge boom of people of Hispanic and African descent in America, yet America has only gotten smarter.

There is not a shred of evidence that supports the natural intelligence argument. You might as well be arguing that the earth is flat.

i was addressing the few posters claiming africans had low IQ. because no they dont have low IQ. no one survives in sub saharan africa if they were borderline mentally handicapped. it takes a stroke of brilliance to survive in that environment.

Not really. Considering it's our species's homeland we are kinda designed for it. One would think it would be the easiest to survive in, especially compared to Saharan Africa where water is a luxury.

IQ is a testable and measurable metric. You can't honestly just assert, "no they don't."

no one survives in sub saharan africa if they were borderline mentally handicapped. it takes a stroke of brilliance to survive in that environment.

Not all Africans live and have to survive in the bush and traditionally learned survival skills don't denote intelligence.

IQ is well known to be a flawed metric of study. I am not sure why people are giving any Credence to it when it doesn't even give any answers by itself.

"They're just dumber" is so much of a non-answer that the intellectually minded should be ashamed of themselves for even tempting to arrive at such a conclusion.

What made African poor is alot of shit, many of which I don't know. I do know part of it is what silverwind mentioned, where they lacked the means to dominate so much like the Europeans did, so they inevitably lost to them. Other parts is probably less fertile farmland, and European and Chinese colonization along with American meddling destroying their economic infrastructure and creating power vaccums which prevented the economy from forming properly with dictators developing to take it. Geopolitics with bad neighbors due to Europeans establishing spheres of influence certainty didn't help, and relatively little time to establish themselves while still not be completely left alone probably caused them to be as big of a mess as they are now

Today, Islamic terrorism taken hold of several nation's, other part aids and malaria, and government instability allows crime to flourish. It is a compound problem that needs to be viewed under a Microscope, and CE trolls will never know this or care to know.

I watched a video on Venezuela a couple days ago and they interviewed a guy on the street and he said we need the gringos back to run things again. I guess in his mind colonization reduced the exploitation and oppression and perhaps even brought opportunity.

I looked at some actual scholarly articles written and peer reviewed by academics. The "poor socioeconomic conditions as a result of the natives' stupidity; where the conditions are proof of stupidity" argument just doesn't come up.

Now thinking something as meaningless as the happenstance skin color of a population signifies the state of that population does indeed point to poor beyond poor critical thinking skills. Stupidity if you will.

I can't help but imagine suchbraindead racists have no personal experience with black people or with sociological and historical context.
