This too is false or at least misleading. The slaves were captured by other African kingdoms/empires generally speaking, and Asia actually did experience the same kind of colonialism in many cases. French Indochina, British India, the Dutch East Indies, just to name a few. The Scramble for Africa also didn't begin until about 1870, and it wasn't until then that most of the interior of Africa was colonized. The slaves were captured by other African kingdoms/empires generally speaking, and Asia actually did experience the same kind of colonialism in many cases. French Indochina, British India, the Dutch East Indies, just to name a few. The Scramble for Africa also didn't begin until about 1870, and it wasn't until then that most of the interior of Africa was colonized.
