The battery on my old one didn't work at all after like 3 months. I just used it while plugged in all the time.

Anyway, back on topic, the Twins new best player is a guy named Jake Cave, which is a pretty cool name

I used to have a razor like that back when I was clean shaven. Now I have just a trimmer that I use for the occasional touchup. I liked it fine but you need to stay on top of your grooming if you're going to use one of those because it can hurt if the hairs it's getting are too long.

Well now I feel even worse. BUT one of the major selling points of this thing I bought is that you can apparently take off the main attachment and there's a regular trimmer underneath it.

Another bad omen, is that my trip to target was a complete disaster. I went to the self checkout because I only had like 3 things, and after scanning the first 2, I realized that the electric razor had one of those security things wrapped around it (like video games) that only the cashier can remove. I tried to cancel my self checkout order, but then it went right to the screen that said "an employee is on their way to help." I had to stare at myself awkwardly in the camera for a full minute until someone came over and removed the thing.

I just ordered an electric trimmer (only $20) as well. probably good to have both.

Also, Amazon, if you're reading this, why would I want to buy a 3 year protection plan for a $20 trimmer?

I use an electric razor but it's the kind with one big foil instead of the three rotary ones. My facial hair doesn't get very long though

The results are in.
-surprisingly close shave
-it did about as well as a normal razor with those weird spots on my face that are hard to get when shaving
-It's definitely meant for short facial hair, like Squall7491 said. I had to go over the whole thing with the trimmer attachment (which I think is only meant for touch ups, not full on trimming)
-battery seemed good but we'll see how it works over time
-not really irritation so far, which is good because I would get that sometimes with regular razors
-It kind of took a long time, but that might be cause my beard was longer than intended use of the razor

You guys who can grow beards should just keep them. I'd do that if I could because shaving sucks and nowadays nobody really cares if you have a beard for job interviews or formal events

I like having a beard and people seem to like it on me, generally speaking. It's just a bit of a pain to keep it looking neat so it doesn't usually look neat.

But it's gotta be easier to keep it neat than keeping it shaved completely, right?

It's more challenging to keep it neat I think in terms of shaving skills required, but in terms of hours spent shaving in one's lifetime yes it's a lot less

Mine gets itchy after like a a week to 10 days so I rarely let it get past that point

I shampoo and condition it and when I can be bothered apply some beard oil so it never really gets that coarse

I've actually been going through some shaving drama of my own lately. I ordered a trial set from Harry's razors to see if I like regular shaving better than electric. I've never shaved the normal way before, it's always been electric my whole beard growing life.

I used to do that $5 shave club thing. It was actually a pretty good deal (you gotta get the $5 one, which are decent blades and the $1 ones for which it's named are pretty crappy). I had learned to be hyper conservative with the blades because they're so expensive. After like a year of $5 shave club, I had so many packs of blades stacking up that I canceled. Enough to last for years if I still used normal blades.

A business that lost business for itself by doing its job....

That's what my dad said. He had it but was able to cancel pretty quickly because he doesn't grow his beard very fast so after a few months he had like a year's supply of blades. My beard grows faster than my dad's but still pretty slow compared to a lot of guys.

When I shaved my face on a daily basis, I used razors. Right now, I trim, although my beard is at the longest I'm willing to keep it.

Expanding on this: I still use razors to edge my beard around the neck and cheeks as well.

Honestly when I want a serious trim I just get it done with my haircut. I don't get a ton of haircuts anyway, maybe every 8-10 weeks or so. I don't really want my beard to be longer than my hair which it would be post haircut so I just let them take it down to the length I want. For those of you who are my Facebook friend, the current profile pic was me right after a haircut and beard trim the first week of June and I haven't done anything since then besides the occasional touch-up on the beard.

That's fair. My beard grows outwards, so I have to trim to keep it in line with my hair no matter what. I tend to keep some length on the top when I do get a haircut, and trim the sides short, so I usually trim my face to match, while keeping some length towards the chin.

I'm going to find a new barber before my brother's wedding though, so I might go for a fuller trim there. I need suggestions on what new to do with my hair.

I should do a tier list of soccer jerseys. I like reading writers' opinions on football/hockey jerseys, but it's hard for me to be unbiased because I often put my like/dislike of a team into judging their jerseys. With soccer I could be completely neutral

I know that's what they're called but I refuse to call them that. I know this dude who used to post facebook statuses all the time about how he wakes up at 5am to watch liverpool matches and he came off as a complete dbag...it made me resent American soccer fans who pretend they're european.

Also, I went to an MLS game yesterday, and you would not believe the amount of people wearing scarves to a 90 degree game in fucking July. fuckin idiots.

I like the red checkered jerseys the Croats wear. This is the first soccer I've watched in the whole tournament.

I think the previous shot had him off balance just enough to mess him up. Being a goalie is also impossible in this sport

He was like side stepping back and forth and ended up falling down on that one. He maybe could have gotten some fingertips on it but it may not have saved it anyway at that point

Yeah I'm sure it's way more difficult than the slo-mo replay made it seem, and there's a ton of variables in every part of the play that I have no idea about.

One of the most interesting parts of soccer to me is those free kicks (or whatever they're called) where it's 1 guy kicking in the crease, and the goalie seems to basically flip a coin deciding which direction to dive. A lot of times they jump in the complete opposite direction of the ball. I know it's infinitely more complicated than it looks though

Dammit. France isn't the worst case scenario but it sucks for Croatia. I felt really bad for Japan when they choked and this sucks worse to come so close for this tiny little country.
