The car maker had been under intense pressure to deliver on the sedan, something seen by analysts as integral to Tesla breaking into the mainstream. Tesla has repeatedly missed production targets and failed to reach profitability. Despite those factors, the company pulled out all the stops to produce 7000 cars in total last week. On Sunday, Musk sent an effusively worded communication to all employees, thanking them for their hard work, adding that the company became "a real car company" in the process. The "Scarifices for Auto-Pilot" to get better is complete and utter BS and he used the public as a giant Beta Test group. The work / life balance and potential work place incidents are also atrocious and needs some serious investigation and regulation from OSHA and a few other government Bureaus. His Tony Stark-ish Arrogant Rich Arse attitude is a hit or miss depending on what he says and what day. So he's really a mixed bag in my book. BTW, I loved what SpaceX has accomplished so far. His usage of Solar City is complete and utter Hot Flaming Dumpster Fire in action. You definitely work harder at those companies than at other companies, but it is all voluntary. 3) He acquired Solar City for the energy storage technology, which is absolutely vital to the future of Tesla and basically every other company that does anything with energy storage. --- Do good.
