lame dreams where I gotta go to some class that I didn't even know I was in and I have no clue what my schedule for the day is

I've been out of highschool for 14 years and have the occasional dream that I have to go back to pass a class or something silly

I get those too. Then I walk around some foreign-looking campus searching for what I'm only assuming is the class I need to be in since I don't have a schedule, and when I get there there's a test I wasn't prepared for since my dream just popped me into this situation 5 dream-minutes ago.

I've been out of high school for over 20 years and I STILL have those dreams.

I recently had a dream that I started working at a grocery store and was so stressed out because everyone was mean and I kept putting cheese in the wrong place

I woke up really annoyed because Ive never even worked in a grocery store yet so much of my dream was taken up by being trained on where everything went in a store that doesnt exist

Yeah, I still have nightmares about missing homework assignments and such. I've been out of college for about seven years. I always have to assure myself when I wake up that I'm not subject to grades anymore. That's in the past.

For a while I thought dreams about my old work would replace the school dreams, but now it seems like I've gone back to having more school dreams than work ones

That reminds me, has anyone had a dream where you're going through your morning routine, like brushing your teeth, taking a shower, etc. All the stuff you do before you go to school or work. Then you wake up and realize you have to do it again.

Those never go away.

Or nightmares of getting a horrible grade. You then wake up relieved about that thing which you know won't happen again.

Oddly I never seem to have nightmares about actual grades, it always tends to be more about classes I've never attended and can't remember where they are.

I get those too.

The funny thing is, I rarely, RARELY had bad grades. Quite to the contrary. The problem is that I was so fixated on getting good grades that it was a disaster when I had anything under an A. I think it left some emotional scars.

Except now I am going part time for my Masters. But one class per semester is easy mode and hard to forget schedules.

Yeah, I also occasionally still have dreams where I'm trying to get to class or something, but forgot my schedule or where the class was. Or involving getting to or leaving school. Surprised that this kind of thing seems to be common but, then again, it's not like I really ever discuss dreams.

I think it's more often high school than college, although I'll have dreams involving both. The schools themselves are sometimes consistent between dreams but generally don't resemble the ones I actually attended.

This. Probably because I tended to get good grades no matter what so I never really thought about it.

I'm also 6 years out of school and I frequently have dreams where I sit down in a class and get handed an exam that I'm not prepared for/didn't know was coming.

15 years

I have dreams where either A) suddenly know I have to go to class and have some big assignment I never started or B) Im in a hallway by locker and cant remember the combination - after Im out there for an incredibly long time getting more and more panicked.

I get ones where im at work...naked for some reason and i realolize and and im like oh shit.

Then i wake up and need to tell myself i didnt go to work naked and that im not late or anything to actually go to work irl

I have dreams about high school often, and next year will be ten years since I went. The strange this is I NEVER have college dreams, but college was the least stressful thing for me ever. That's probably why.

Yeah I've had dreams where I have to literally go back to high school to finish one class and feeling so horribly embarrassed that I'm stuck in a room with teenagers

still have occasional dreams about middle or high school. usually in the classroom or assembly with friends and other classmates, or strolling the hallways. rarely stressful, in fact good-natured; feels more like hanging out with friends you don't see any more. rarely i get chased around the hallways.
