Do you pay or get paid In all honesty, it was just two random letters I chose when I went to register the domain. I wanted it to include 'img', sort of like imgur, so I tried a few different combinations and 'imgtc' was available as a dot-com. As far as operating costs, I'd say around $100 a month for the server. I'll add ads back in once the site really picks up. Right now it's getting a couple thousand page views per day and serves maybe 2.5m images a month.
