This is exactly why despite a majority of Black Americans being 1/4 white, black people continually acknowledge their differences and specify that they are mixed and don't just call each other mixed. Come on off with all that, I knew black people who would call 1/4 black people, just black without mentioning them being mixed. As for the TC, it's pretty clear you don't come from a mixed family as those details don't always pop.
