It correlates because Bomberman is also in the Waluigi camp of being an AT instead of playable. So basically more people wanted Bomberman as a playable character than Waluigi and both of them are ATs. The only thing I've been saying from the start is that the huge outburst of memes with him have made thousands and thousands of people want him to actually be playable rather than an AT when these numbers just did not exist before. Even though they've died down in terms of topics, you can usually see some sort of Waluigi meme post in other topics that don't even have anything to do with him.
