Long story short, I'm getting a Switch and don't really have any use for my 3DS. I'd like to trade it in, but the only thing of value is my Pokebank data with a living Pokedex that I'd like to preserve in the hopes that I'll eventually get to transfer it over to a Switch Pokemon game.

My girlfriend has a 3DS that is essentially collecting dust. If I downloaded Pokebank on it, would I be able to do something there? My initial thinking is that it's not possible because of the way Nintendo accounts work. I'm not sure she'd be okay with me transferring over my account either.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Pretty sure Pokebank is on a cloud, so as long as you link your NNID to your girlfriend's 3DS you should be able to get all your Pokemon.

I THINK. Don't quote me on this.

Yeah, that seems to be it.

So either I link my account to her 3DS, or give her my 3DS, while keeping all my stuff on it, then sell her 3DS.

All I need to do now is convince her.
