Ya a can't stand soccer either. It's a sport for fairies imo. I pretty much only can watch hockey. Sometimes basketball. I honestly think WWE is more entertaining than all other sports lol. UFC would be second best to me to watch.

Hockey got boring to me when they stopped allowing fights. I can still watch a game mind you, but it just feels less interesting unless it is my home team (which are towards the bottom of the league anyways, so usually not interesting either).

Basketball and UFC are what I consider "highlight" sports. I usually just care about the highlights, can't stand to watch the whole thing.

I watch the WWE PPVs, but I am becoming more of a NJPW fan the last couple of years. Shame the streaming service sucks and I don't have cable.

I like it. I like the tension and suspense. I can totally see why some people wouldn't like it though.

My guess is if everybody listed their interests, most people would be able to identify something on that list they find boring.

It is full contact though, which is basically what soccer should be.

No. Hockey is lacrosse on skates. The strategy and mechanics of soccer are drastically different than hockey.

I also think not scoring enough is a bogus complaint.

Not unless our culture changes. In europe kids enter into academies at like age 7, and they go to school and get a good quality soccer education, too. Some of those kids rise to play in top leagues by age 21, or even if not there are tons of leagues they can play in until they get to the top(of course not all do) that are quality.

It's a matter of opinion but I think it is indicative of some kind of design flaw when it's that difficult to score. The fact that games often end 0 - 0 or 1 - 0 tells me that it something needs to be adjusted where scoring isn't so incredibly rare

That would be my first idea as far as driving up the amount of scoring. That and maybe allowing for more contact so flopping isn't nearly as common

there is indoor soccer with half the field length. it is interesting but i dont like it as much a regular soccer.

I dont know, i never bought into the whole low scoring thing because it makes it much sweeter when teams do score.

like im sorry i dont understand the more goals/points fetish some people have.

I remember a game the local team here played in where they won 6-5, coming back from 5-3 down in the last 5 minutes. It was crazy, but the game feels tainted slightly because defense for both teams was atrocious. more goals, yes, but since defenses were both terrible it doesnt feel as awesome as it should.

I'm not claiming to be some soccer expert but I think it's kinda ridiculous that so many games go for 90+ minutes with zero goals and I think the sport could stand to adapt or experiment a little. I watch baseball which is generally fairly low scoring but baseball feels like a way better and more interestingly designed sport in my opinion. No sport is perfect which is why many continue to evolve. Soccer doesn't seem to evolve though

And yes I do realize that soccer is old as the hills whereas basketball, baseball and American football are all relatively new

Looking it up under 10% of soccer matches end in 0-0, but it is of course much higher than 0-0 regulation games in baseball, football or hockey.

But even so, a 0-0 tie can have a game with great goalkeeping and defense, to where you are on the edge of your seat all game. There isnt much scoring, thats just how the sport is, but each goal carries a lot more weight.

I don't feel like soccer needs to evolve because any attempt to artificially inject scoring would feel wrong.

The only thing that needs to change is the flopping. I don't mind scoreless games. It works for soccer but would never work for other sports.

i like watching soccer because there are no commerical breaks. the commerical breaks really take me out of games. The time keeps going down when people get injuried or go off the field. it's fantastic.

It's like 45 of pure action (of passing the ball backwards). But still you look at the time and was like woow that was 15 minutes.
