I miss those days. You don't know how many times I tried putting in fake codes or doing stupid shit like hitting concrete 3 times in a row in Animal Crossing to see Nook in pajamas or other crazy shit. Master Hand in Smash 64 was another great one.

I always used to use gamewinners for cheats and FAQs, even though it sent me here for the FAQs. After a while, mainly once cheats started phasing out, I figured I should just come to the source all the FAQs came from. And I've been here ever since.

It was around '98 or '99 I think, when I was in high school. My school was poor and didn't have many computers, and I didn't have one either. The only people allowed to use the computers were the ones taking a specific class. Eventually though they replaced those computers and moved the old ones into the library for anyone to use. I often ended up with a free period, so I'd spend the time in the library, and since I could now use the computers, I started looking up game related info. Which led me here, I think I was looking up Pokemon info.

I didn't make an account until several years later though, and then for the longest time I stuck to the gaming boards and was afraid of the social boards. lol

I was on a quest for the up up down down code...I entered a man cave and soon I found myself lost. I was just about to give up hope and then a frog king appeared...

FROG KING: trentpac, you must find your way out of this place, or you will surely die. This way has been closed off by the great sphinctor. To escape, you must journey up to the dark reaches of the intestine and pass the stomach! Who am I? Just a friend. Heed my words, trentpac. Your time is running out. Make for the large intestine. Start straight ahead.

SONG: A great adventure is waiting for you ahead. Hurry onward trentpac for you will soon be dead. The journey before you may be long and filled with woe. But you must escape the man's ass, or your tale can't be told.

Trentpac, trentpac, trentpac, trentpac!

Trentpac's journey is distant, far and fast! To find his way out of a man's ass! The road ahead is filled with danger and fright! But push onward trentpac with all of your might!

FROG KING: trentpac, you are coming to the enterance off the small intestine! There you must seek out The Sparrow Prince!

SONG: The Sparrow Prince lies somewhere way up ahead! Don't look back trentpac, or you will soon be dead! trentpac, trentpac the time is growing late. Slow down now, and seal your fate.

*Sparrow Prince Appears*

SPARROW PRINCE: I am The Sparrow Prince! Long has my spirit been trapped within this place! Before you lies the maze of the small intestine. One path leads to the stomach, the other to certain doom. Take with you this helmet and torch. Let them be your guide! *Gives trentpac a helmet with a torch*

SONG: Take the magic helmet-torch to help you light the way, there's still alot of ground to cross inside the man today! Ahead of you lies adventure, and your stregnth still lies within! Freedom from the ass of doom is the treasure you will win!

Trentpac came to the stomach now. 'neath the dance of the lungs and heart.

*Catata Fish appears*

CATATA FISH: You have chosen your path wisely trentpac! I am the Catata Fish!

DEEP SONG: Catata fish of the stomach's cove!

CATATA FISH: If you answer this riddle, the esophogus will let you pass.

DEEP SONG: Catata fish's riddle will soon be told!
Later...
FROG KING: Hang on trentpac! You solved the Catata Fish's riddle, your trials are nearly through!

CjayC: *coughs out trentpac*

SONG: trentpac has made it out, his tale is nearly through!

CATATA FISH: Great job, trentpac!

SPARROW PRINCE: Thanks to you we are all free!

FROG KING: But your adventures are just beginning! *Takes off trentpac's helmet* You are no ordinary gerbil trentpac, you are the Gerbil King! *Puts crown on trentpac's head*

ALL ANIMAL GHOSTS: All hail the gerbil king!

SONG: Now that you're the Gerbil king has more adventures to go on! Fly away to faraway lands and to the setting sun! So many enemies and battles yet to fight! For trentpac the Gerbil King's tale is told throughout the night!

Trentpac the Gerbil King!

Or something like that...I hit my head this morning.

The walkthroughs on YouTube are generally shit now with people artificially extending the videos just to get it past the 10 minute mark.

This. So much. The visual aspect is nice. So you can see exactly where on the map that chest is located and how to actually get down to that ledge. But I'd much rather have a text guide with two pictures. One of the map and one of the cliff fave for reference than have to skip around in a video trying to get past all the extra yammering. I do manage to find some good video guides here and there that just get to the point and show me the info I want with the extra crap though.

Yeah that's it. I forgot about the people that give commentary or add music when it's just supposed to be a walkthrough and not a let's play. Also I had problems following a video once because they went way too fast to follow the moves required. Since it was a long ass sequence I kept losing and was lucky to find an actual written guide.
